This man is not subtle about how much losing literally anything pisses him off

  2. RainierPC

This man really wants to win. Spurs have their work cut out for them.

  3. Of course he did. 38.5/8/4/5/6.5 on 59 TS% to +10 on the 2 seed Hawks and +4 on the 9 seed Cavs in 1987.

  4. Recent-Curve7616

Spurs not having a point guard at this point is egregious. Wemby needs to start making demands or kawhi his way the fuck out

  5. Imagine if he had the Buffalo. They be blocking every shot and that’s terrifying.

  6. Any-Connection-1813

Imagine this guy in Dallas, terrifying

I don’t get why North Americans are so obsessed with numbers/stats (like those useless infos that come up sometimes “… is the first player in 10years to average 16/5/8 on away games after christmas game”)

Those matter nothing if their team don’t win

  8. Lol69HaHaHa

Wemby is quite competitive and i love it.

You can tell how much he tries and works to be as good as he is.

He clearly knows how talented he is and wants to start competing as soon as possible.

  9. cock-a-dooodle-do

Yeah, league is fucked when he gets a squad.

  10. prettyboylee

why are some of y’all commenting like the Spurs should be winning straight away? If they were bad enough for highest odds in the lottery then they won’t be good immediately. You got people acting like this is year 5 of him on the Spurs with no path towards winning in sight.

I like this guy. He’s right. The numbers mean nothing. It’s all about wins.

  12. mojokotso

Spurs have to give him a decent squad this summer! He is more NBA ready that everyone was expecting, he is healthy and has a great desire to win!!

Its a shame that Kobe is not around to give him some tips and help him evolve his game!!

I think Josh Giddey would work really well in this Spurs team, I think he is having a poor season but he can pass the ball well and would make a good PG for Wemby

  14. LavenderAutist

    The perfect player for Pop.

When they stop tanking they’ll be a force.

  15. johnjohn2214

I get his attitude. The Spurs need a true on-ball creator desperately and this draft will help in the long run. Spurs need another veteran that can score and play with the starting unit. The league just got boosted with a huge supply of talent with many of the 30+ stars not really slowing down. The threshold to become competitive is just higher

Bro we gotta add another player to the big 3 or we’re fucked when he gets help

  17. alwaysmyfault

Funny enough though, Jordan did it 2/22/1987 and 2/24/1987.

Wemba did it 2/22/2024 and 2/23/2024.

    Basically exactly 37 years later.

  18. KiwiStraight9285

you can’t expect to be the number 1 pick and then just start winning, your team was shit to get that number one pick

  19. rocket_beer

The Spurs need to stick with their strategy of tanking for the next 4 more years.

It is daunting to tank game after game, year after year. And yes, you will lose some fans. And yes, it is shameful.

But ☝️ you will eventually be decent.

Will you have a championship caliber team? Probably not… but you will have seen it through.

So for all those faithful Spurs fans out there, get ready for the losing marathon to truly take-off 🤙🏾

  20. Pepephend

He might be good but goddamn his cockiness is unbearable!

  21. Choice_Marzipan5322

Tell Pop stop being cheap and get the man a team. No reason why he surrounded Wemby with such a shit squad.

  22. joshuamillertime

“Do you know how easy this is for me? Do you have any fucking idea how easy this is, this is a fucking joke. And I’m sorry you can’t do this, I really am. Because I wouldn’t have to fucking sit here and watch you fumble around and fuck it up.”

    -Wemby to his teammates, probably

  23. GlueGuy00

Put him in the ASG ASAP! They need his competitive spirit out there

  24. AtreusIsBack

Wemby needs to appreciate this time of his career, the honeymoon stage, where the media will praise him and love him, but before you know it, the “is Wemby a winning player for the Spurs?” media narratives will start coming out a few years from now if the Spurs are still not making progress up the standings.

  25. CookingLikeChef

MJ actually did that? MF really is the undisputed GOAT that’s honestly crazy for a GUARD

  26. The clock is gonna start ticking on the spurs a LOT sooner than people think to put a competitive team around him. He’s like Luka in the sense he’s ready to compete immediately
