And Ana Morrow has to keep rakia Jackson under control here’s Ria Jackson shooting right over the shorter Haley vanl Angel Reese down with the board Angel Reese and Johnson the only returning starters from that National Championship team yeah this is the part of Angel skill set that I really like and that is

Her rebounding and initiating the break back to spear who loves the three rolls out and Sarah Pucket with the rebound second opportunity from Tennessee she’s a shoo two and proves it one of the things that Tennessee is aware of is pace and LSU has struggled with their transition defense this year

Puckets going to have that shot all game she’s going have to knock some down 70 Run for the Tigers key on Reese the reverse for tamari key tamari key has got incredible size inside and she goes to the counter and finishes her story incredible ible coming back from blood clots they

Discovered in her lungs last season after nine games but I also like Tennessee coming right back because there’s the transition defense they don’t get matched up oh rakia van lith a another opportunity last tier POA steps into the triple they’re shooting from Deep last tier POA knocks down the second three of

The day for LSU when we come back a look back at LSU’s First National you know there’s certain Staples about Kim Moi and the way they go about winning defense and rebounding are first if you don’t do either one of those you’re not going to play coach Moi told us today I

Want a title as a onew and a three seed make me whatever seed you want yeah they’re a dangerous looking team on the opposite side of the bracket I can tell you that holling shed do a good job of getting post up position and then reverse pivot away and once you

Reverse pivot away you create a little instead it’s the first on Pucket 6 seconds for Van lith top of the key three Haley van lith late clock said back off I don’t want a screen top of the key and I think we we both agree this is a tough this is an NCAA

Tournament team this year right yeah I don’t think there’s any question it’s about seeding though because there are so many good teams and Haley van lith to backto back triples watch Haley van lith and transition spot up behind the three-point line and Ria Jackson in iting things for the lady of alls she’s

Got six inside to key who shook off Angel watch the pass on the inside look at tamari key throw it away from the tar from the defense perfect to the Target hand exactly where it needs to go great back to Angel Reese still no points for Reese they’re going to give

Her that until she hits a couple or before the game yeah Kylie was out here too her little girl tamari key trying to go in she’s blocked by FL Johnson see right here tamari key goes to the counter and FL is there to that’s an area of her game that has improved this

Year her defense open Lane for Jasmine Powell it’s a wide open Lane it’s a great take she had a great bounceback game against Vandy 16 points five of 10 from the field in that game right here PO with just an easy dump down pass you put tamari key at a

Deficit that foul was on Kaio win of Tennessee and Kelly Harper told us to expect some Zone they’ve been working on it in their bye but looks like LSU was ready for it too and Isa Morrow off the glass watch FL Johnson right here working in the naked side two-man game

Right because they’re running their man offense it’s an upscreen and a nice Roll by moros three looks at it for LSU make it four rebounding teams in the nation that was the difference in the first half 15 offensive rebounds 11 Second Chance points for LSU and they lead by we’re

Not at a point yet where Tennessee has to speed up the game so I like them playing quarter court and trying to play undercover like under under screening action softer in the gaps but right here you got to be able to help on that matchup cuz Angel Reese is going to win

That one on toari King Michaela Williams no up ahead to rakia Jackson Angel Reese just hit 2,000 points for her career the fifth active player with 2,000 points a th000 rebounds F Johnson with a nasty block pal saw an opening Jasmine pal puts on the Jets a wide

Open R up right off the backside of tamari key who she uses as interference lane and then off the backside of key R and Jackson knocks it down Pucket inside to hollingshed Second opportunity yes Tennessee’s turned up its defense here in the third quarter they’re outscoring 10 uh LSU 12

To7 this stays with the lady vs has got a high motor and she pursues the basketball van lith coming in h van lth shooting the ball much better today the game within the game the game within the game Derby from Deep loved it out without taking a timeout the game inside

The game and we saw Tess Derby doing this at 8:00 this morning C applying good pressure Ben lith swish great games this season they’ve got good teams been a really good League really fun to cover worth staying up late absolutely they might have five teams hosting in the NCAA

Tournament they throw it up for Pucket Del Rosario gets there Pucket spins out of it van left got her herself to the Elbow she got a hot hand today she’s two for 12 that’s good shot selection she’s guarding Haley van lift and she lets her get free in a

Corner dribble two hands dribble again three-point bucket van lith van lith kicks it over to Angel Reese too much got her own board that’s what she does nice twist action right there by Reese Haley van lith is feeling it two on one break Michaela Williams will take it too much

F pocket in the damage look at LSU on the run off the shot selection of Tennessee no are you kidding me where would you put him I’d put him at least on the three line F to Angel f with a nice pump fake nice drop off to Angel Joel spear in transition

No. 13 LSU prevailed 75-60 over Tennessee, led by Hailey Van Lith’s 26 PTS.

  1. Hailey Van Lith balled tf out. Mulkey gotta play her off the ball more if LSU wanna repeat. They gone need her scoring down the stretch for sure.

  2. 7:13 this is how important refs are. If they would have called double dribble, Van Lift would not had made that 3, momentum would be on Tennessee. Better chance for them to win

  3. Hailey is finally getting comfortable. I think she didn’t want to rub her teammates the wrong way but she has to shoot more off the ball! She did great today. Can’t wait to see what’s in store moving forward.

  4. Listened to the game on the radio and the announcer sitting next to Kim hears her yelling to slow the game down and they ignoring her putting shots up. Missing bunnies left and right – 88 shots – Christ on a biscuit. Makes you wonder how much they practice their shooting or are they resting on laurels that don't exist (or do they listen to their coach?). It's not like they haven't participated in some ugly games – maybe they just don't like watching themselves or do any self evaluation. With as much talent on the floor could a team like this achieve at such a low level – sure they win games but they don't seem like they make it easy on themselves in the process. Honestly, I'm not getting a whole lot of enjoyment listening or watching them struggle to the finish line like this. (And no I won't stop watching or bitching about bad play), It wasn't like they lost a 16 point lead because of the outstanding defense of TN**. It was encouraging that Hailey finally had a game to talk about. She made baskets when they were in great need to put the ball in the basket. Struggle struggle toil and trouble. How's it looking from your view?

** LSU – 6 turnovers, TN had 2 steals, blocked 4 shots, LSU out rebounded them by 10, LSU shot 33% FG but 40% from 3 point land.

  5. This is a joke honestly I never realized all women college hoopers aren’t the same talent wise

  6. That game against Tennessee belongs to Hailey today! She did all of the work and plays with intensity and determination! So, she will potentially have a good chance of leading LSU to a national championship!
