  1. Screenshotting posts from a year ago now? Who cares bro, it’s Spineless Silver who’s the only one who has the power to ban Bridges from the league.

  2. abskiing403

Bridges has no supporters on sub but posts like these better belong in nbacirclejerk.

Miles is a kid Dray saw grow up. He is part of Dray’s village.

NBA fans are failing to understand that and operate in the gray area of life. This is a “Gotcha” question-topic 100%.
Dray ACTUALLY knows Miles as one of his people. So everyone wanting to make this a commentary on domestic violence it’s not… it’s a commentary on friendship and on the court business.

Do i think Bridges is a shitty person yeah probably… but most of us have had friends get in trouble stood by them through it for better or worse. We only see this from a vantage point pitched to us to get us riled up and clicking.

If that irks you fine but Dray sees Milies differently than all of us. I commend him on answering the question honestly on his own terms (which is getting “between the lines”d to death).

I’ll say it again. Not basketball and Miles case is not a good case to highlight the topic… one of the worst actually.

Giving Draymond the benefit of the doubt, I don’t think he’s saying Miles Bridges can do no wrong or didn’t do anything wrong.

I think he’s saying, in the context of basketball, Miles Bridges can do no wrong to HIM. As in, anything Bridges does on the basketball court, he isn’t going to take offense to.

Now obviously, that was very tone deaf and poor choice of words and even with the benefit of the doubt Draymond comes off looking horrible for supporting Bridges but they are friends whether anyone likes it or not. They have a hometown and Michigan State connection and Draymond probably understands better than anyone that when people do shitty things, you don’t have to condone their shitty behavior but can still stick by and try and support your friend to get help/be better.

Draymond is miles friend. So what. There is no PR needed. The guy made a mistake. We get it. But all this he should never work again, no one should ever associate with him again shit is stupidity at the highest level.

Draymond should shut his fucking mouth lot more than he does. Defending this man is an incredibly poor choice, not that poor choices are anything new to Draymond.

    From Wikipedia (**emphasis** added):

    >On June 29, 2022, Bridges was arrested in Los Angeles for felony domestic violence and was released on $130,000 bond. He allegedly assaulted Mychelle Johnson in front of their two children. According to Johnson’s **hospital report** which she posted to Instagram, she was an “adult victim of abuse by male partner” which included **assault by strangulation, brain concussion, closed fracture of nasal bone, contusion of rib, multiple bruises, and a neck muscle strain.**
    >
    >On July 19, Bridges was charged with one felony count of injuring a child’s parent and two felony counts of child abuse. The following day, he pled not guilty to all three charges at his arraignment. On November 3, **he pled no contest to the felony domestic charge and was sentenced to three years of probation**. The other two charges were dismissed.
    >
    >In October 2023, Bridges was charged with **violating his probation and protection order** after an October 6 incident where he allegedly **threw billiard balls at Johnson’s car**, breaking her windshield **while their children were inside the car**. Bridges’ current girlfriend is also alleged to have kicked the car while yelling in Johnson’s direction. Bridges turned himself in on October 13 and was released upon paying $1,000 bond. At this time, Bridges had an outstanding warrant stemming from January 2023 that had yet to be served.

This is worse by far than anything any NBA player has ever done on a basketball court, and it is a travesty that Bridges is still playing in the League and that Draymond chooses to publicly support him as he did.

    Honestly fuck ‘em both.

An abusive asshole and an enabler

  8. PettyPettyKing

When will there kids learn that the world is not as simple as black and white. Fuk miles bridges the domestic abuser. Lucky he has a friend like Dray. Dray is a real one cuz most people will just turn on you or ditch you when shit hits the fan.

  9. itsavirus

Every game Draymond does more and more talking. He seems to have learned absolutely nothing and its scary cause of how much impact he has on the team on the court.

we got miles and draymonds pr team here in some of these comments damn I get we’re warriors fans but we can only let draymond slide for so much

Mychal Johnson, the victim of Bridges’ abuse and the sister of Wiggins’ girl just liked a tweet saying this quote from Draymond is disgusting and shameful. I agree completely, and it’s very in line with Dray’s behavior of hanging out with Miles immediately after all the DV stuff initially went down.

For those that don’t know, Wiggins is very close to his girl’s family. They’ve been together since they were 15/16 and he’s very close with the sisters’ kids- his nieces and nephews. The ones that witnessed their mother getting abused. I wouldn’t be surprised if Wiggins wasn’t happy with Dray’s comments.

  12. HistoricalAd8790

Y’all saying “reddit gonna reddit” because we critique Dray for still being friends with an abuser, and hanging out with him *immediately* after the DV first came out.

Apparently it’s “virtue signaling” to say that I’d stop being friends with somebody that beat the mother of their kids to the point that she had a broken nose, bruise ribs, and a concussion, among other things. In front of their children. I stick with my friends through their ups and downs, I accept them for their flaws. I don’t think beating the shit out of a woman in front of your children is simply a “flaw”- it’s a special kind of evil, and I’d cut a friend off in a heartbeat if I found out they did that. I don’t think that makes me a saint, or pretending to be one. I’d like to believe that most people have a basic standard of morality they expect of their friends.

And LeBron deserves smoke too, for supporting Deshaun Watson. All athletes who claim to give a fuck about women’s rights and then blindly support abusers should get smoke.

I think Dray is speaking in context to himself. Miles can’t do anything to HIM. I get it. Miles and Dray are close. It’s probably hard to cut off someone you call a friend like that. I’m sure Miles has told Dray that he messed up and that he regrets and I’m sure Dray believes that. What else can he say or do? I’m sure some of you can cut off a friend like that but I know there’s people in my life where if this kind of thing came out about them I’d be so conflicted on what to do. If they told me it was a mistake and they sounded remorseful I’m sure I’d believe them because they’re my guy. I don’t condone what Dray said or his support for Miles but I can understand why he’s saying and doing these things.
