  1. Loss is on Willie, had a 9 point lead in the 3rd and everyone on our team was absolutely gassed especially BI, didn’t call a timeout and he watched the lead dwindle down to one just take his timeout home with him sorry coach

  2. Ja___av93

Zion, Willie, or both need to take the fine and just go off on how he is officiated. Its getting ridiculous

  3. definitelydidntcheat

BI had 11 days off and comes back with 9 turnovers

  4. JayDogon504

Painful L but it’s far from the end of the world. I said in the game thread tho we need somebody with some fire that’s an actual starter. Throughout the history of this organization we’ve almost had a “too many nice guys” problem. Players who just lead by example and whatnot. And that’s cool but you need an asshole who has that will to win. As much as people hate Draymond the Warriors aren’t the Warriors if he doesn’t add his energy to help build up Steph and Klay and keep them confident. When Rondo was down here he did that for AD and Jrue. I remember Rondo saying something like Jrue was a top 5 guard scorer in the league and that’s the typa shit you need to keep players like that to believe in their talent and consistently play like it. It’s part of why I liked the thought of Dejounte cuz he seems to have an edge to him and he’s not scared when the chips are down. Also we could obviously use a real PG to help settle things down at times. It’s no coincidence us and Phoenix have those similar struggles both tryna run a team with no true point guards

  5. 9 (!!!!) TOs for BI. If that were Zion, this sub would be absolutely killing him.

We were doomed as soon as Zion went to the bench in the 3rd. Up 12 to down 1 in minutes

Demar DeRozan shot two less free throws than our entire team. Yes there’s other things that factor into losing like not calling timeouts and bad turnovers, but watching us get fucked on ft differential every night just sours the experience of watching games. The difference in allowed physicality is fucking absurd.

Another one of those “play down to competition games”.

Zion did his thing tonight, scored about as efficiently as he could given the horrendous no calls, had maybe a drive or two where I didn’t think he needed to throw up a shot but when the offense sputters like it does at times it’s a “fuck it let’s just try something”. He did get lost a few times in rotations which *maybe* would’ve swung the game the other way but there were so many issues. Could’ve had a triple double with Trey stealing an open rebound from him, plus him barely not securing Demar’s missed FT. Overall thought he setup guys well, used his gravity effectively and mostly did his job.

BI was great in the first half and then in the 2nd half the turnovers started piling up. Ended the game with 9(!) turnovers. Went 0-6 in the 2nd half and ended with 2 (apparently 3 now) rebounds. He did have a couple really nice hustle plays, plus attempting 6 threes which I liked a lot, but he looked like a guy that was completely out of game rhythm by the 2nd half.

I found it funny that Trey had 9 rebounds at 9:30 left in the 3rd and 1 the rest of the game. 3-11 from the floor is… not great though.

Finally WG, his desire to play Larry that much was a disaster. Larry did nothing positive aside from grabbing a couple offensive rebounds and WG refused to recognize that until the momentum was in the Bulls favor. Could’ve easily challenge a “charge” that Zion picked up early in the fourth but decided to be ultra conservative as per usual.

Also, not that I like to blame refs and the Pels could’ve and should’ve won the game probably regardless, but Demar attempted 12 FTs to the Pels 14 as a team. Idk anymore man.

  8. Cautious-Apartment-9

Team has to just risk the fine & complain to the media until the league gets tired of hearing it. Zion should be shooting no less than 10 fts/game. Willie also needs to understand when to call a to to stop a team’s run.

  9. Ok-Comfortable1111

Whole roster picked the best time of year to fill their shorts

  10. I’m confused why shit hits the fan once our 3rd option is out of action while our top 2 are good to go

Zion and BI make it so hard to not say CJ is our most important player cuz they just can’t beat a god damn thing when he’s out and they’re in.

The bulls???????????? The shitshow bulls?????? You 2 can’t even beat THAT????

  11. SpermCountDracula

Tired of seeing them get their asses whooped

  12. _lonelypenguin_

We could easily be a top 4 seed right now with hopes of home court advantage in the playoffs if it wasn’t for atrocious coaching. Instead we’re probably looking at another play-in situation against teams with way more playoffs experience than us. Yes, I’m worried.

  13. dominicklala1287

This team continues to be sloppy as hell with the ball, and can’t hit shots in the clutch. 19 turnovers is inexcusable against such a shit Bulls team

  14. river_town

The Pels and taking tough twos in the clutch. Name a worse duo.

  15. Pels about to go into the tax to pay BI and Trey (who was torched tonigh by Ayo Dsouwnw) . You might as well keep Zion and reset the clock trading BI and Nance.

  16. Razor-Ramon-Sessions

19 turnovers is fucking amateur hour.

Incredibly disappointed with this loss. I always thought this year was first round exit regardless, but I’m def concerned we will be in the play-in, and I don’t like that.

  17. Aggravating-Lake-717

    Tough loss

    Zion played well

    BI choked

  18. BaronsDad

The Pelicans need an intern to put together a 3 hour reel of all the missed foul calls on Zion possessions in chronological order and just publicly post it.

  19. BI during 4th quarters this season> 43.5% FG, 19% 3PT, 45 AST to 24 TOs, minus 88.

Zion during 4th quarters 57% FG, 46 AST to 22 TOs, minus 59

  20. SouthFloridaSlime

Jonas what the hell.. how dumb is your fat@ss? Trade this slow motion ass player so far from this damn team

  21. Kevin-Garvey-1

BI settles for so many bad shots in late game situations.

  22. Lots of wild takes right now, I mean A LOT.

Bad loss, can’t keep this up if we want to avoid the play in. On to the next one and bounce back.

  23. Infinite_Response113

Season is over. See everyone in 6 years when Zion’s been traded, we draft another #1 pick and the process repeats

  24. Also, this game is on Naji and Jose as well (and I love Jose). They knew we were shorthanded and decided to start a WWE match for no reason. Yeah, I know refs were not calling anything but they already costed us two winnable games.

  25. NOLA_504LA

This team is always at a coaching disadvantage because of Willie. It’s like having a 2k computer at coach set substations at certain minutes in the game never calls timeouts when your team is gassed Zion was at the table at the 2 minute mark ready to check in at the end of the 3rd never got in. Never make other teams adjust to us and refuses to call out the horrible officiating dude even said at the last press conference he doesn’t want to get fined.  I don’t even think Mike Brown is a great coach but I would take him every day over Willie you can’t have a NBA head coach he doesn’t curse it’s a reason the only time he ever got fired up in his coaching career in the play in vs the clippers the team responded because that is what a coach is supposed to do

  26. Lyte_Work

Bad loss, I think people underestimate how important CJ is to the team.

  27. I’m not normally one for too much negativity…but this loss was inexcusable. Larry minutes were atrocious. Way too many unforced turnovers. Thought Z played great tonight…thought Matt Ryan was good.

This team has to learn how to play clutch basketball. Idk what’s going on…but this team can’t close games. Jonas literally had a loose ball in his hands late 4Q…fucking fumbles the ball…then refuses to closeout on DeRozan for a wide open 3.

Refs were atrocious as always…but they weren’t the reason we lost. You can’t win with 19 turnovers…with 14 coming in the 1Q and 3Q. Absolutely atrocious

  28. mitch3311

Played BI too many minutes with him still being sick. Lost his legs and was super sloppy.

Z should’ve come back in that 3rd with 3 minutes left like he usually does. Pels had timeouts too

  29. kingralek

Stephen A Smith post by team hasn’t led to any wins.

  30. Another_Comet

Rough being a Pels fan. Fucking OKC rebuilt in half the team we did and built a team twice as good as the pels. fucking sucks

  31. workwork187

Late to the party here, but does anyone want to see GS or LA in the final play in game? Bc that’s what I see happening if I had to guess. We lose to SAC/PHX/DAL in game 1, then have GS or LA at home in game 2. I think that ends in absolute heartbreak.

Team has actually done a good job of taking care of business against an easy schedule in February, on the whole. But they have massive issues and are not built to win the games they need to win for this season to be a success.

  32. ahungrybatman

    Terrible coach
    Bad roster management
    Soft Players
    Unfair officiating

  33. Pelicanfan07

double digit turnovers will kill you every time.

  34. Ja___av93

BI is held to ZERO accountability from Willie and half this sub. You can bet your ass if Zion or CJ had 9 turnovers Willie would bench them and this sub would be calling for them to be traded
