  1. First player in the league to get there this season too

  2. PrivateButtFucker

Not a big fan of “most threes” stats in the modern era.

With all the “Chet only takes wide open shots” discourse generated by a certain fanbase that will go unnamed I think we’ve often lost sight of how impressive it is for a rookie big man to shoot 40% from three on decent volume no matter what team he’s on lol

  4. If he’s doing stuff literally never seen before does that make him a generational talent?

Really unfortunate for him that Wemby is overshadowing another one of the greatest rookie seasons ever

I mean, the only guy whi I could imagine doing it before the last 10 years is Rasheed? Can’t even think of any other guys with that sort of range and size. Maybe Josh Smith if he’s attenpting 10 3’s a game.

  6. The Wemby-Chet arms race has been fun to watch. Hopefully they will finish their careers with their respective potentials fully tapped.

  7. Score card for 2/25/24

    Chad Chet: 1

    Industry Plant Wemby: 0

  8. Crazy Victor will be right there with him in the same season.

  9. Wow. Those numbers are impressive, and season’s not over yet.

  10. Gonna be two soon. Wemba is at 82 threes and already hit the blocks

There is so much talent incoming from the next generations that it really will be fun to watch as more and more young stars emerge. Chet is impressive, as well as a lot of the other young, new players. Love to see it.

  12. If Vic wasn’t overshadowing him he’d be trending everywhere, a pity he just wound up playing his rookie season the one time a monster worse than him appeared

This man proved me wrong. I didn’t think he was going to be good. Chet is the real deal!

I’m rooting for Chet and Wemby to have the next big man rivalry. Jokic vs Embiid is great but I feel like the talent disparity and them being in different conferences hurts their rivalry. Chet and Wemby on the other hand have the makings of a true big man rivalry and I’m excited to watch them develop.

    1. Bro is seriously on his way to revolutionizing this position. This is kid is like Dirk with defense and can dribble the fuck out of the basketball. 2. He’s definitely this good already because he’s been competing against Wemby for years at this point. You have this guy across the ocean who they’re calling the GOAT at your position and you need to be able to beat that to make it to the NBA because you can’t be too behind him in the rankings. Its the only way that I can think that he is rationalize these 2 bigs coming in with this insane skillset at the same time.

Genuinely not a hater and I’m a bets fan who likes ben Simmons but I find it weird we call him a rookie. I feel like every sports podcast I watch, no matter the sport, guys always say the hardest part was getting used to just the general speed of the pros.

Of course he was injured an rehabbing but I feel like it’s a huge advantage to just be in the building for over a year and getting used to what NBA looks like.

but nephews were telling me wembyambo was the rookie of the year lmaooooo

  18. Not to be a hater but this stat is low key cherry picked. It’s impressive but it’s as much a reflection of how the game is played now as it is of Chet’s talent, if not more so. He will not be the only player or even the only rookie to hit this milestone this season.
