    This is something the casual fan or people who just look at stats don’t realize. Luka is scoring more than anyone in the league while also being doubled more than anyone in the league and he’s taking more closely contested shots than anyone in the league. People see the box score and think his stats are great but are similar to other guys who are on teams with a better record, so they don’t consider him an MVP favorite. If the Mavs can climb to 4th or 5th in the standings people will really start to notice how great he’s been this season. I say put your bets down now on the Luka MVP before it’s too late.
