It’s weird how some teams hate each other and others are just hugs and daps after a close game for like 46 minutes.

  2. I know we were all frustrated with the turnovers but Paolo’s last 6 minutes were fantastic. Suggs is a legitimate offensive threat too. He is still inconsistent but teams genuinely have to fear this now.

I hope the game threads begin to lighten up soon. The doom and gloom in there is just so ridiculous

  3. Where were you when Jalen Suggs went super saiyan

  4. Independent-Impress7

Suggs offensive growth this season has been as satisfying to watch as Paolo being selected as an All Star.
I’m not gonna lie I was mad disappointed watching him in his first season but his play is a testament to his work ethic and love for basketball. Love these types of games for him!

  5. Suggs is the only Magic player I’ve ever seen actually turn from a bad three point shooter into a good one

  6. Thank god Mosley subbed out Cole for suggs. Loved Cole’s hustle tonight but he does not fit next to franz and Paolo as well as Suggs does

  7. Mosely is starting to impress me by not absolutely shitting the bed like we’re used to

  8. SweetFranz

Great game for Paolo coming back. A couple bad passes but he was being doubled most of the night.

Orlando is now tied for the most wins in the month of February 2024. (If the Warriors win tonight, then they will have one more than us.)

    Deserved radical exit by Suggs!

  12. With this win, the magic have reached last year’s win total with 22 games remaining!!

Suggs and Franz really deserve so much more love by our fans, outside media and fans sometimes feel like they give more love to Franz and Suggs than our guys during their ingame highlights. I have only seen Cole, BB, and Paolo get standing O’s and Mvp chants before. I love that our fans took to Paolo and made sure he got to All Stars but I do wish they would cheer heavily for any player that is balling out. Paolo got MVP chants at the line and Suggs went to the line like 3 secs later, he should have also got some type of acknowledgement for clutching this. I honestly see them as a 1a-c in importance. Yes Paolo is the #1 option, but many games Franz is our most versatile and most important on court for offensive points, while Suggs is this teams energy center and defensive anchor. All equal to me.

When we were #2 seed, I truly thought Suggs, Franz and Paolo could be All Stars. Or at least get into deep ballots. Thats our core with those 3. We really need to solidify this team, just so many good players and not enough space, yes injuries happen so many will get pt and chances but the inconsistent minutes have been hurtful to team’s synergies before and have been discussed multiple times by many other players in the league.

The best avenue for a team is to have a core 9/10 and keep that the same unless forced and bring in others for specialty roles. Some days AB gets minutes, some days caleb does, some days Goga does, some days Chuma started. Just too loosy goosy I believe. This win by committee idea which means that you may play today but arbitrarily you wont play tomorrow is not good imo.

I believe our core 9 should be Ab Suggs Franz Paolo Goga, Cole Joe Moe JI/Dell. I know Gary has looked back to form as a starter but his low is very very bad as we have seen and I dont think he makes our SL that much better than what AB Goga did as defensive menaces.

Very good win. These guys look like they want to play together. I still see a deep playoff run.

Frustrating game of basketball. Ive been saying it in the past few games that the amount of turnovers of the team is concerning. Whats maddening is a lot of those are from stupid unforced errors. We have to clean those up or we will get punished by good teams. Also cant believe that Franz kryptonite is an u dersized guard in Sexton

Still, cant say that I dont love the fight that this team show. Lets push for the 4th seed now

  15. ghostofwallyb

god, Mo is a beast. how common is it for players to get a double-double off the bench?

  16. Loose-Animal7305

Suggs haters repent now and your death will be promised to be a quick one

  17. hanyou007

Also low key, this was a big game coaching wise by Mose. Kept the right guys in at the right time, especially late, the Fultz Cole line kept us in the game and then making sure Suggs did not hang his head after the poor foul and got him to hit 3 straight 3s.

  18. No bs who stopping us right now in the east? Besides C’s and Cavs, but even C’s we’ve made clean work of as of late. I dont want play-in. I want playOFFS

  19. mrlaheyisfucked

Great games from Cole, Gary, and Moe.

Cole was great at playing within the offense, had really nice entry passes to the paint and looked like Russ on the boards.

Gary deniers wya?? This is exactly what we need from him.

Like others have said, that man Moe Wagner needs a lifetime contract. Not even Vucevic could finish like Moe tonight. He might be making more than Wendell come extension time.

  20. StarshipTroopersFan

Fine, it’s official. Jalen is in the untouchable core with Paolo and Franz.

    Here’s a surprising stat:

Orlando has the [#2 highest 3-point percentage](https://www.nba.com/stats/teams/traditional?DateFrom=02/01/2024&DateTo=03/01/2024&dir=A&sort=FG3_PCT) of all teams in the month of February 2024 (including tonight’s game), second only to OKC.

In [January, we were #16](https://www.nba.com/stats/teams/traditional?DateFrom=01%2F01%2F2024&DateTo=02%2F01%2F2024&dir=A&sort=FG3_PCT). In [December, we were #30](https://www.nba.com/stats/teams/traditional?DateFrom=12%2F01%2F2023&DateTo=01%2F01%2F2024&dir=A&sort=FG3_PCT). In two months, we’ve gone from the worst 3-point shooting team in the league to one of the best. And we did that without any trades — just guys getting healthy and coming back from injury.

  22. SamURLJackson

It’s so nice seeing this team respond positively to adversity in the 4th quarter. The 4th used to be a graveyard for this poor team. The boys are growing up

  23. That was a nice win. Felt like it was heading the same direction the Hawks game was and Paolo took over this time instead.

Side note: they showed him hacking up a lung a few times on the bench, did they ever say what he has/had?

  24. We need to consider moving on from Wendell this off-season.
