(Manning) Sources expect both (Tillman and Springer) to receive some playing time late in the year as rest, particularly for the big men in back-to-back situations, come into play later in the season. The C’s play two of them next month against the Wizards and Pistons, then in Detroit and Chicago.

That would make sense to me. No point to play KP or Al for throw away games.
Tillman might see the court like maybe 5-10 minutes here and there in playoff games. If springer sees the court at all in the postseason that means we’re beyond down bad with injuries
So like we’ve been doing all year?
Whilst continuity is important, I don’t think we should have a set 3rd big. Tilman and Kornet should both be playing depending on matchups. X is too good to be rotting on the bench and Joe should really be playing Tilman instead of Luke against quick, shifty teams such as the Pacers
Two back to backs against teams with a combined 55-148 record you say? Yeah I can see the backups getting some run
(counting Detroit twice: Wiz and Pistons are 9-49, Bulls are 28-31)
So we got Tillman only as a break-glass-in-case-of-emergency situation? That’s disappointing, I feel he can actually contribute important minutes right now and in the playoffs.
They have an offseason, training camp and next year assuming they don’t trade or cut him (Springer), I don’t think Tillman has term left so I hope he gets some run to find out what we have – would like to see him with some starters even for a few mins to see how he might fit in.
Svi and Jaden will be playing 48 minutes a night in April
