Minnesota Timberwolves defeats San Antonio Spurs, 114-105. For Minnesota, Anthony Edwards recorded 34 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists aided by Naz Reid adding 22 points and 6 rebounds to lead the way in the victory. Devin Vassell led the way with 21 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists while Keldon Johnson tallied 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists and Victor Wembanyama added 17 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 blocks for San Antonio. Minnesota wins and improves to 41-17 on the season, while San Antonio moves to 11-48 with the loss.

The Spurs are getting too used to losing. So much so that it appears that they take the court expecting to lose.
Webenyama will sign with the Lakers or a team with a plan on winning if things don’t change IMO.
I wanna see wemby in a system like GSW or Heat or the Pacers. I feel like the spurs is good for the first 2 years but I think those 3 teams could really elevate his game. And he would be around other all star caliber players. And all three of those teams like passing the ball.
Unpopular opinion: I think Ben Simmons will fit in with Spurs. He needs a good tough love mentor like Pop. And Spurs need a pointguard.

Timberwolves defense is suffocating. a game where they finally didn't mess around until letting their foot off the gas the last few minutes of the game.
Over 200 comments and all I see about Wemby are comments about "give him the ball more" and "he needs help". It's time for a dose of objective reality. Victor had a bad offensive game. He played a full 34 minutes this time. He relied on threes again, but ended up 2/7. He had one dunk early and then two dunks when the game was already decided. All his points are either dunks or threes, but there are not enough dunks, and he shot 2/10 otherwise. He had 8 early points, then didn't score again until the game was decided, late in the third quarter. He had 5 TOs and 5 fouls, which offset the 4 blocks and 2 steals. He had 1 offensive rebound vs 6 by Gobert. He couldn't stop the two TWolves centers, and his presence did not disrupt the TWolves.
I'm not knocking Victor's skills or potential. I'm here to point out that many of his games are not strong, like this one, yet commenters pretend that he is a force of nature each time out. But his problems are as follows: he still doesn't shoot well; he doesn't get enough dunks to make an impact; he turns the ball over too much; he doesn't prevent the other team from scoring their usual point total, even though he averages one block per quarter.
Love the playcalling announcers. Sorry, but, I can't listen to a woman calling a man's game. That is why there is the WNBA. Plenty of opportunity for women to call women's games, ref, wipe the floors, etc. But, I would just like to come home and enjoy a game where it sounds like men are playing at a high level. Sorry I'm not politically correct, but it feels wonderful to be a man, when you want to truly enjoy a great sport, played by men.
