I’ve always said once he got to 20 he was gonna stop at 23 which would have it’s own meaning with that being his Jersey number and that’s how long Brady played.
Or if he was gonna continue it was gonna be 25 because it’s a number that’s not weird like 26 years lol.
A few weeks ago when he said he doesn’t know if he wants a farewell tour everyone was like bs he’s gonna want one.
Nick Wright made a good point in that the way he may look at it is he doesn’t wanna box himself in before a season because at the end of that season he may feel he has gas left in the tank.
If you announce your retirement before the year it’s kinda hard to walk that back and like nah nvm.
Bradys retirement got leaked and he didn’t directly say it so he was able to walk it back. And Kobe announced his retirement mid season because he figured yeah this is it.
