Tickets to Sunday Game for Father/Mother and Son/Daughter

I can’t make it to the game this Sunday @6PM! I have two tickets I would like to give to a Father/Mother and Son/Daughter to go in my place. I have a soft spot for the magical experience Raptors games can be for children and since the game is a bit earlier than usual, my intention is to be able to surprise one of them vicariously through one of you! Obviously I am not going to get (or ask for) any real proof that you’ll be taking a kid, all I can do is go with the honour system on this one.

So if you are interested in attending the game with your little buddy, please ask your child to give you their first memory of being a Raptors fan and post it as a comment. I will check through them later tonight and message the winner.

Some of my favourite childhood memories were from the 1999-2000 season. Watching VC, TMac, AD, Muggsy Bogues & Doug Christie in the flesh. Think some of the tickets are still somewhere in my parent’s basement. I remember watching them beat the Knicks @ the ACC (who were very good that season) by a wide margin.

Don’t have kids, but I hope people respond to your post. Nice of you to give these tickets away. Really sweet gesture.

    You’re a good egg OP

Hope someone takes their nugget and sends you a pic of them enjoying themselves

Op is a cool person with a big heart confirmed. I’m not entering since I just went but I hope you make a family really happy.

I’m not a father but I’m in my 20s and have an 11 year old brother that has never been to a live game.

Ive been a Raptors fan since I was a kid and Ive been getting my little brother into it since he was 5 years old. He really started enjoying it during the Kawhi year.

Unfortunately, Our father took his own life during the 2019 NBA finals so the Raptors’ successful run has always been intertwined with our family’s anguish.

Nonetheless, Im sure my little brother would love to experience a live game.

    Thanks for doing this!

if possible see if you can give it at sick kids but I guess time wise it may be tough. Good on you nonetheless

My first memory of the Raptors was seeing Powell’s dunk against the pacers in the playoffs.

My son invented the cure to cancer and donated million of dollars to charity and he would love to go to a raptors game (i don’t have a son)

I am a very fortunate person in that my father is a huge nba fan. Regularly going to raps games with my dad is one of my happiest memories. Good on you op.

My friend, something tells me that if you aren’t already, you will one day be a fantastic parent if kids are something you see for yourself. Cheers to you, you fantastic human!🍻

u/teebsliebersteen great to see you doing this and I hope you’re going to ask whoever goes for a photo essay like I asked of you a few years ago!

  11. This is awesome! I can’t make it myself but I’d like to request the tickets for my mom and sister. They watch the games every night and they’re an hour outside of Toronto so they never talk about going to a game.. I’d love to surprise them. I can’t speak to what their earliest memories would be but I know my mom really liked Vince Carter when she first moved to Canada. Thanks for this post!!

My son got his first Raptors jersey at Christmas, which is probably his favourite memory as he did a huge fist pump and started yelling when he got it. Hoping to bring him to his first game and start making memories in person!

I have a 4 year old step son that’s  really into sports and I would love to surprise him by taking him to his first ever sporting  event

  14. If available I’d love to take it for me and son… This would be his first experience in a basketball game

  15. Not my kid but my niece! I took her to the championship parade when she was super young ( 5?) and we had so much fun that the intense sunburn we both got was totally worth it 😆 would love to take her to her first game auntie niece style and cheer on our favourite team.

  16. This is really cool! Makes me want to take my son to go see the Raptors. Although we live in the States and I have not been able to get him interested in basketball. Good luck and hopefully the tickets can go make a great impression for a kid.

I can’t use the tickets, but I think you are amazing for doing this.

My son loves Chris Boucher because when he was really young, he was taken by his long limbs. He still calls him the “Bonjour Praying Mantis.”
