What changes would you make to The Blender?

Seems like expanding the lower bowl seating capacity will be a main priority of the renovations to SKC, but I’m hoping they will also work to improve sightlines and minimize things that cause partial view obstructions in the upper bowl.

It just needs a total overhaul to bring it up to modern NBA standards. It’s definitely showing its age and is generally regarded as one of the worst arenas in the NBA. Much like the Superdome, the location couldn’t be better, it just needs a facelift and some modern touches to make it a more appealing experience.

  2. Cheaper food and drink prices. More vegetarian and pescatarian options. Otherwise, everything else is great.

  3. Start serving Ghost in the Machine or at least bring back Crowd Control.

Better food choices. No variety and what’s offered is barely edible.

    I’m not from
Nola so never been but from a visual perspective viewing the game via streaming black seats would make such an aesthetic difference !!!

The jumbotron needs to be redone. It has a stupid aspect ratio that crops some of the side information. Make the main sides 16:9. Also, the framerate of the low resolution LED strip on top of the screen is incredibly low and makes my head hurt when they do scrolling video.

Also, better sound, better lights, better effects, more showmanship… Admittedly, that is my industry (theatrical video) so I am biased, but it could be so much better there.

I put in a projection mapping system for the Cavaliers 10 years ago. They can track the players around the court and make the video follow them (obviously not during the actual game). There is so much cool shit that can be done to increase the theatricality of being at a live event.

Always thought they should make it look like a mini Superdome since it’s right next door.

  8. Actually tip employees. Ask any of them now if they get any of the tips. And they do not.
