Haha Mavs fans blaming the refs for the loss on their sub. Wtf? Very solid win. This team is slowly coming together. People are stepping up to the plate now. When Embiid returns, I think we’ll be better than ever.

  2. Feels so good to steal a game against a good team

  3. newpha666

    • Tobi has been cooking 🧑‍🍳 these past couple games. Embiid has a career as a motivational speaker when he retires.

    • Maxey needs to touch the ball on nearly every offensive possession. I hate when the team puts him in the corner.

    • When Embiid comes back this team is a top 5 NBA team. I don’t care what anyone says.

  4. PessimistSixersFan

Damn Maxey had a huge Q1 then nothing much after

  5. MaxeytoEmbiid

Tobias Harris and Kelly Oubre, both of those guys had been stinking up the joint but they come up HUGE this afternoon. Maxey with a solid game.

I say solid, because look Maxey: I’d seen you beat doubles before. I’d seen you beat pressure before. Maybe it’s the hit on the head, maybe it was the way to attack the Dallas double but we can’t have you invisible for 24 minutes.

See the way Luka/Kyrie took shots in the 4th? That’s the next step for Maxey. The supporting cast stepped up today, but on most nights that’s gotta be you.

  6. The 4th quarter was a struggle. We had a hard time getting good looks. Everything was contested. We need Jo back for the playoffs healthy

  7. hasordealsw1thclams

That late rebound by Tobi was almost more impressive than the scoring run because it feels like he never gets clutch rebounds.

  8. secretlypooping

Just 12.5 games back from the #1 seed, watch out Boston we coming for you

  9. Calcutta637

Nah guys tobi only plays well against shitty teams like the charlotte hornets the Dallas mavericks and the Denver nuggets

  10. girlfriend_pregnant

For years our biggest roster need was normal basketball players. The addition of hield and Lowry have seriously boosted our normalness

  11. rexfloyd94

if tobias harris hit big clutch buckets against my team i think i would die

  12. Enzo76Arg

Luka is great but as much as he scores he also gives up a lot of points because of not going back to defense after bitching to the ref

  13. Calcutta637

It spoils the fun that most of you who call yourselves fans were waiting for tobi to brick those shots so you could cash in on your hate parade

  14. pagonator

Great win against a good team, nicely done Tobias

  15. Knight725

joel’s no more misses speech to tobias gonna live in philly lore forever if he comes back healthy and they make noise in the playoffs.

  16. Maxey clearly wasn’t himself after taking that hit, but he did an excellent job as a decoy and distributing the ball.

  17. davey_mann

Awesome win. Actually feel good about the Sixers ending the season as the 4th seed. As long as we have Embiid, we’d beat the Knicks regardless, but I’d still rather have homecourt in the 1st round.

  18. The_Paint_by_Numbers

What the fuck was in that Embiid pep talk

  19. evandobrofo

Watching warriors Celtics rn and brown just did a rip through when his defender was playing a little physical, all he had to do was lean in a tad and go up for a shot and he got the call.. I feel like with how much defenders try to slap down on tobi (not talking Abt tn, he was great tn), he should try that. Just to make the defenses more honest. I guess he probably wouldn’t get the call but I wouldn’t mind him trying to grift every once in a while

  20. Christophersworkshop

Taking those two timeouts in a row was some of the best decision making I have seen from a coach in years

  21. PensiveinNJ

I love that r/nba cares so little about us without Embiid it takes an eternity to even get a PGT. There was on I forget which where the PGT didn’t come until an hour after the game ended.

Flying under the radar right now feels a little nice.

  22. fizthebiz

Headband 2012 LeBron on our squad looked great

  23. Calcutta637

Those back to back threes in the fourth were soo fucking huge

  24. robbberrrtttt

When will people realize Luka ball doesn’t work? The numbers don’t matter it is losing basketball. Saw the same thing with AI and Carmelo and Harden this iso heavy no defense everyone stand around and watch while I drop 40 thing is tiring

  25. Responsible_Ad5442

All things considered, pretty hard to complain about going 5-5 in our last 10. Four out of those five were expected losses against very good teams and we pulled off surprise wins against the Cavs (twice) and Mavs. Nurse has made some great adjustments and has this team playing watchable basketball. Play the damn song.

  26. economist_

Another huge win. Another great Tobi game. I need one of these Joel pep talks myself

  27. Well my Sunday afternoon is off to a great fucking start

  28. InfieldFlyRules

If Embiid isn’t healthy they’ll lose eventually. But if Rivers was the coach, this game is a scheduled loss. Nearly started crying when Maxey went down. And they still won

  29. thesixersdontexist

helluva win. shout out to kelly for stepping up when maxey banged his head (i’m pretty sure he had a concussion, did not look right when he came back in). never signing an apology form in my life, but tobi had a really nice game too. his midrange in the first half kept us afloat. pretty good team defense/rebounding too

  30. jeppsforst

Joel should start a career as a sports psychologist

  31. CPTHoagie

Jayson Tatum might be the most overrated player of all time. He has 2 fucking points and like 1 assist and his team is up 22 and scored 44 in the first quarter.

  32. IReallyLikeAvocadoes

What the fuck did Joel say to Tobias

  33. HugeWorldliness2429

My first in person sixers game! What a game

  34. Fun game and finally a solid quality win for the post deadline Sixers. Love Maxey but still has so much growing to do. Wasted about 3-4 possessions down the stretch big ones being a senseless chucked 3 and then the travel/offensive foul which lead to the Mavs run. Then struggling with the doubles and getting the ball past mid court. Glad to have Lowry here to teach him more

  35. Philly-lifegoeson

If Embiid comes back, this team is going to be tough to beat. We fixed the shooting problem and picked up a back up PG. I like having Lowry on the team. He did not have a good shooting game today but he can contribute in other ways when the shot is not falling.

  36. Theballharperhit

but but but but but he only does well against bad teams… My god our sub reddit is 90 percent basketball dumb.
