With him already announced out for the next 3 games, that gives him 19 more potential games with only 47 played so far…assuming he comes back after these 3 games he’ll only be able to miss 1 more game and still be eligible for awards

Gonna be longer than 3 I’d think. I have an injury to where the doctor laid this out as an option for tendinopathy and was told I was looking at 6-8 weeks recovery.
Now I am not Donovan Mitchell and I’m sure it’s quicker for a bone bruise over a bad tendon, but 3 games seems very short for that injection.

The team needs more practice without Mitchell. I think it’s fine as long as he gets his 65 games in and comes back. Hope we don’t drop to 4th see though.

This is a BIG stretch for Garland and Mobley. If they can’t lead this team and look like a competitive NBA team in Mitchell’s absence, they should not be given the keys to this franchise in the event that Mitchell leaves or gets traded. It’s as simple as that
They have to show us something. Hopefully they do
