Great move for his career. I was hoping he’d go down this route. He’s too young and coming off a career high year. Best to shut him down and let him cook next season. Hope he trains with guys like PG13 and KD to hone that offensive game, especially his shot creation. We weren’t going to be a playoff team so it’s just not worth rushing him back to averaging a clean 20ppg. He’s potential will go as far as his health. It’ll be worth it guys.
Supposedly this kind of injury/surgery will take around 5 weeks to recover. So i’d expect to see him come back for the 2024-2025 season this October. Which is honestly pretty good considering there are only 21 games left in the regular season. I seriously doubt we’ll make the playoffs anyway with how big of a hole we are in.
I had this exact same surgery on the same metacarpal. Really not so bad.
