Obviously aren’t in contention to win especially with how stacked the West currently is and while ton.com has them only ranked at 23rd for remaining schedule strength there’s this way too many games they would need to win to be able to make their way even into the playoffs especially with how

Inconsistent they’ve been so far going into the new year in 2024 because they’ve only managed to win one back-to-back game so far going into this new year and it would just definitely be best if they decided to lose most of their games just to gain a better overall pick and in this year’s

Draft they have one guaranteed first round pick from the brook Nets because of that Harden trade and they also have two second round picks as well one being from the Warriors and one being from the Nets again but now I want to go over their roster and why I think

Athleticism with blocking a 7 foot2 Bobo the other night now cam Whitmore was an absolute steal he’s been a stud but he was absolute steal by the rocket selecting him with that 20th overall pick he was projected to go I think like top 10 but he fell all the way back to

To steal the ball and create a lot of transition points for the rockets and his athleticism is a huge part of his game but I truly like his ability to get in the passing lanes and also guard the other team’s best offensive player and this guy can just create problems for

The other team now moving on over to Dylan Brooks who is having a overall decent year averaging uh about 14 points per game and he’s been uh providing them extra scoring and his defensive skill set has been really good for this team giving them extra perimeter defense and

He’s just a menace of a player one problem that he’s had so far this year is his foul trouble because he’s fouled a lot of time or fouled out a lot of times this season but Brooks brings that intensity on the court every time and I’d say what’s best about or I’d say

That’s what’s best about him this year and now moving on over to Jabari Smith Jr who is only in his second season he had a great game versus the Suns as well I mean this was the other game but he showed his potential and he’s his he’s just provided them with his overall

Rebounding ability and his defense is really solid as well but his physicality and versatility has stuck out a ton this season and he just has that ability to go out against most teams and guard their best player but he can definitely improve on both ends of the floor

Because he’s only 20 years old and he just has a ton of potential in this league and really the only thing he truly needs to improve on in my opinion right now is his a icy and he’s already addressed that problem this season because he’s already improved both his

Field goal percentage and his three-point percentage from his rookie year like I think by like five or six% and he also improved his rebounding as well which is which both are great to see especially if he keeps improving like this season by season now they also

Signed Fred Van vet this past off season which I honestly didn’t know how good he was going to fit in with his team because there are so young but he came in and had a immediate impact with his playmaking skills he currently ranks it seventh in a league and assist with

Eight per game and even on the defensive side of things he has done some damage with his ability to be able to get Steals and poke the ball away he had a good performance the other night as well against the Suns putting up 23 points five assists and five rebounds and

Managed to steal the ball twice but it was great to see this performance after his recent bad performances like like before that Allstar break now let’s go for Alper shenon who I easily think is one of the best young players in the game right now and I could definitely

See him in top 20 conversations as soon as next year and maybe even a potential top 10 player in the future but the Rockets definitely need to build around him and I do question his defense but him still only being 21 is crazy and he’s had plenty of time to develop with

His uh with him being on the same court is Dylan Brooks and Jabari Smith who is all right a defense it kind of hides that you know that one flaw in shenon and he’s putting up 21 a game uh grabbing nine rebounds and putting up five assists he just truly has a great

Future ahead of him and I think he’ll be a a superstar in the future and a uh Allstar soon for sure now moving on over we got Jaylen green who I believe if has this been a problem for this team and I believe that this team should just move

On from him in my opinion and I know I know I may seem impatient but I just don’t think this guy has it and I just don’t think he has what it takes because his defense isn’t that good and he’s just overall a bad player this guy is in

His third season and is shooting his worst percentage wise with a men looking good as of late I think they should just move on and replace him with the upcoming draft or replace him in the upcoming draft with that uh with the Rockets owning their pick if they could

Somehow land that first through fourth and also the Brooklyn Nets they have a really good chance of hitting big with them all the way at the 12 seed in the East right now and their schedule is looking rough so that’s why I believe that the Rockets should just tank and
