Giannis is the franchise GOAT. The same is true of Steph in GS, and LeBron in Cleveland. Whether LeBron gets a statue in Miami seems a lot less certain than in these other cases. Jokic certainly seems deserving of a statue in Denver.

Not only did he bring a chip and is a great player but Giannis being on this team helped keep the Bucks in Milwaukee. Because of the fervor around him, that area around Deer District is just totally different from when I went to MATC in 2013. Maybe Edens, Lasry et. al. still build that district but I’m sure it wouldn’t be a rousing success without Giannis.

My issue with this segment was that they argued for a second that Kareem was the best player in bucks history… Giannis has the most wins, points, assists, blocks, rebounds, soon to be steals, 2 mvps and a defensive player of the year. Not only is he head and shoulders better than Kareem for the bucks… I could argue that no other player is more deserving of a statue for their franchise…

Statues shouldn’t be about playing skill or number of rings. They’re about impact on a community. Giannis has changed the Milwaukee Bucks culture and has become a part of this cities identity and genuinely a symbol of the American dream.
