The Detroit Pistons: The Loss Leader of the NBA

Are part of this unbalanced Act of basketball now get ready for The Greatest Story Ever Told can you smell the success in the air I don’t know if it’s that or carbon monoxide poison the latter might be more tolerable to some the Detroit Pistons are one of the teams in professional sports an inspiration to every John Jane and Joseph who dreams of aiming low

Fancying themselves as a welfare leech detrimental to society and Gorge at the great trough of complacency and R so what say you dear viewer will you join us on this journey of sheer sacude no you could suck my dick yes I would love to find out more So you’ve turned into this mockumentary wondering to yourself what are the Detroit Pistons all about what makes this team special well for that you don’t have to look far at one point in time the Pistons were a winning franchise think seven NBA Finals appearances throughout their history 24

Alumni enshrined in the Hall of Fame a proud group and respectable Foo the same their results were nothing to scoff at three different Decades of Championship success the bad boys of the80s the 2004 Miracle run traitor Jack yet all good things must come to an end with the

Pistons and ended with Bill Davidson ascending to Heavenly prestige mode after this tragic passing the legend of old had to evolve as well just get rid of all those pesky traits of the team and you have the Pistons of today a team that features the elite of basketball Kade Cunningham

Jadeen Ivy and some other who they found Marvin Begley and James wisman out of the dumpster remember when everyone thought they’d be good oh those were indeed the days just like the times when Detroit would make the playoffs to get absolutely pasted by real teams in 14 consecutive games it hearkens to the

Days of grand experiments like that of Blake Griffin like his knee the fan base gets to watch it explode into a thousand fragments like a sharp decline this team is built for death to watch let’s take you back to October fan optimism hit a fever pitch as they run out the gate

Flaming hot bursting out the scams to take claim of the NBA’s Elite with an unbelievable two and one record why wouldn’t they be excited they just beat the Bulls by 16 the future was surely going to be roaring louder than your drunk unles Dodge Ram in the Motor City and they

Certainly were roaring with laughter seeing an opportunity to fill a needed void Detroit would gloriously lose game after game after game after game after hilariously bad game not only losing but being repeatedly blown out of Moby Dick’s whale hole against Elite teams they lose against Bottom Feeders they lose against

Underman teams any competent team should beat they lose can you count the consecutive losses they acrew 28 breaking records and breaking hearts the secret recipe is that they aren’t deliberately tanking they just suck sadly the Raptors aren’t fans of chasing history and had just traded ogj and

Anobi to the next Detroit was allowed to win for the first time in 2 months like throughout most of their history Toronto ruins everything if you watch closely you’ll see Monty Williams recognize that he made a huge mistake in in coming here is it entirely his fault not exactly

He’s doing his best sabotaging effort but let’s be fair Prime Greg papovich couldn’t Solage this singing ship how often they turn over the ball and get personal fouls I can see the entire coaching staff age in real time the Pistons are paying this man $13 million a season the largest contract for a

Coach in NBA history to watch a team beat dog you can just feel the money burn from your television screen sorry Monty no one cares if the Pistons were screwed out of a victory against the next d d bom your coaching stock is going to spiral into nothing like Dwayne

Casey before him and you’ll accept it with a smile on your face fearing reality the team would defend their honor yeah we’re not 2 and 26 bad you know what I mean like no way are we that bad the Pistons were 2 and 26 B just listen to the crowd

Showcase their approval things that will prove to be a bit of a silver lining for the Pistons the 1 if only you could short sell a basketball franchise those fans would be rich who needs Nvidia stock when Detroit’s around speaking of business relationship between a team and

Its city is a special one unless you’re a complete kudin it’s a fruitful Enterprise for all parties and lo and behold the Pistons are at the Forefront of such Endeavors think of the promotional possibilities of such a combination thanks to a Savvy partnership for every home win fans get

Free boneless wings at Wingstop this season’s delivered satisfaction to so many customers hurrying up Willam we’re hungry over here look at us my kids the yellow guy ground control to Major top are you going to do anything to fix this the answer is most likely now but the

Team will make some random trades buan bogdanovich congratulations you’re free of this horrible atory sadly not many else are with Major Tom holding the strings I forgot to introduce you this beloved man is Tom gors the owner of this illustrious Club a man so revered that he’s probably wanted Dead Andor

Alive at Little Caesar’s Arena most likely with a public execution at half court by a man wearing rip Hamilton’s mask but the chance for Redemption is at hand what should Tom gors do a stop throwing money at poor Personnel fits B give a proper about team

Performance or C sell the team if you answered any of these you’re wrong he’ll do none of them let him tell you for himself we have a good core we have a good foundation we have these all these young players and we have flexibility so

We have to not panic and do the right thing execute and have urgency but don’t don’t ruin the ship the boat here it’s it’s pretty good don’t worry though Pistons fans changes is coming probably in the form of nickels and dies think of what this team does for the community

For crying out loud winning is an all a franchise can do you know the season winding down what will this organization think of next rebuilding a rebuild of a failed rebuild cherish this Majesty we’re witnessing a legendary season in the 313 the greatest accomplishment in

At least 15 years and the reward for it will probably be selecting fifth in the upcoming draft as has always been written

The Detroit Pistons are one of the teams in professional sports. They are a group that either glorifies the awful aspects of a deep rebuild or is a testament to awful mismanagement of a once-proud franchise. With fourteen straight playoff losses and boasting a twenty-eight game losing streak this season, the Pistons are worthy of a deeper dive in this magical season of theirs.

This video came to be thanks to a massive wall I hit creatively and a desire to shake things up from what I feel are suboptimal videos. I only hope I didn’t do poorly here as well. You’d be surprised at this lol.

  1. This team was one of the most iconic franchises in the History of the NBA from Dave Bing & Bob Lanier not have a consistent roster around them, to the Bad Boys becoming a pivotal piece in league history with the 88-89 squad being one of the greatest teams ever and repeating against Rip City to the next year being swept by the Bulls(ended the Bad Boys era at that point) to Grant Hill and the generational talent he could’ve became one of the best ever and was hampered by injuries even as a hell of a player to the core that was built in the 2000s(Sheed, Rip, Big Ben, Chauncey) by Joe Dumars and Co and upsetting LA in 04 and coming back the next year with the Malice in the Place, Big Shot Bob’s Game 5 winning three and then losing in 7, Larry Brown’s firing and Flip Saunders(RIP) Hiring and having the best record in franchise history to lose to Miami and then Big Ben leaving due him and Flip having differences, to 2 more ECF appearances(Lebron’s Cavs and Big 3 Celtics) and blowing it all up and starting over with bad draft picks(Jerebko, Summers, White, Daye), trades and free agent signings(A.I., T-Mac, Blake(unfortunately not the same) ) to the 2008, 2016, 2019 first round exits, but the unfortunate part of all of this is the future of right now. Tom Gores and Troy Weaver and the rest of the front office don’t properly evaluate the players they draft(Ivey, Stewart, Hayes, Doumbouya, etc) I hope Pistons get through what has been one of the most unwatchable eras of basketball in NBA history.

  2. Detroit just hasn't been the same since they traded Billups.
and to remind you, the Sonics were still a thing the last time they won a playoff GAME.
(4:38 couldn't have said it better myself)

  3. D: "There is no war in Ba Sing Se"

For someone who JUST watched ATLA for the first time I laughed too hard at that 🤣🤣🤣

  4. I mean we clown on the Pistons for good reason (this season especially), but I'd like to argue that the Wizards have had an equal if not greater dysfunctional season thus far. And unlike Detroit, Washington doesn't even seem to have any cornerstone pieces they are building around. Instead, they have paraded Jordan Poolse into becoming the modern NBA's equivalent of JaVale McGee. The new Shaqtin highlight reel.

  5. Worst thing to happen the pistons was Davidson dying. After that it’s been downhill. The only reason Gores shows up to games is to get hammered with his buddies, the most hated man in Michigan sports right now, with Mel Tucker a close second

  6. Detroit sports team is like a boiling pot. One team rises and gets good. While the others go down and turn into dog excrements.

  7. And I thought the CFL's Edmonton Eskimos/Elks' home losing record was the talk of the sports world. This puts that streak to shame. 28 vs 22.

I thought the "Ground Control to Major Tom" reference was good, but then you broke me with 'There is no war in Ba Sing Se".

  8. God Tom Gores is a joke. At least the Lions are good and the Red Wings are getting out of their rebuild? And the Tigers have young players and finally fired Al Avila to into space? Yay? No hope for the Pistons so long as Gores owns them though…

  9. GAH! Tree you scared me with your face in the beginning!
I’m joking, good video keep it up

  10. No playoff wins since 2009?
Every fan wants the owner to sell the team?
A catastrophically hilarious losing streak when everything seemed to be on the up-and-up?

The Pistons are the Angels of basketball.

  11. It's kind of sad that the Pistons losing streak hasn't been the only 15 plus losing streak this year and that multiple teams have even gotten close to the Pistons losing streak
