a terrible night for Vic is almost a triple double with blocks. Malaki is making the case to play a huge role when we’re contenders.

  2. EchoRespite

Vic has his normal game, Spurs win this game. Hope he is feeling ok.

  3. Prestigious_Plant662

Last time Vic had less than 15 points was on December 22nd

  4. xxthinkpositive

I’m salty idc…Sengun got away with so many push offs tonight bro lol can’t wait to play them in SA

  5. teemololgg

insane that sengun only 1 yr older than wemby, people must make comparison

  6. Southern_sky

Victor clearly out of it. No 2nd half shot attempts. Sengun needed 40+ to beat us by 14. Could’ve won if Vic had even an average night but his shoulder must be bothering him

Always annoying to lose to the Rockets even in a tank season

    Also, start Malaki over Julian

  7. DriveForFive219

Segun with what will be the best game of his life and refs were as one sided as it gets. Fuck the rockets we’ll see who’s laughing when they are infinitely in purgatory.

  8. te666as_mike

That was a tough game to watch, because even with our sub-par play, we were still in it the whole game. Idk if this was just my bias speaking, but the non calls the Rockets got away with plus the amount of moving screens set by the Rockets in this game just made it so impossible to believe the game was being reffed evenly. We couldn’t get anything going. Idk man, on to the next I guess

  9. Two things…
First, when was the last game Wemby DIDN’T have at least 5 blocks.  Just save time and give him DPOTD already.
Second, I can’t stand VanVleet.  I’m so glad that he’s with the rockets… so that I can hate him with all my might now.

  10. Awkward_Toe_5501

I missed the game , but 4 players had more shot attempts than Wemby….why?

  11. mo_effort_mo_send

what the hell was that 4Q pick and roll coverage by Vic and the spurs? They just got cooked on the exact same 2 man pick and roll, deep drop for like 4 wide open fred vanvleet jumpers

vic didnt even look like he was trying to contest / step up, and then also just turned it over on the other end

  12. SunKing210

I couldn’t catch the game but I see that Wemby never shot a single time in the 2nd half, what happened?

  13. CStradale

Wemby not 100%, team probably satisfied with last two games, rockets looking for revenge, Sengun taking in the Wemby hype past few days to prove a point.. recipe for a loss.

  14. Timduncanthealrighty

The fact that Brooks and Sengun only had 5 fouls combined is ridiculous…

  15. fifa20noob

Loved Pop’s post game comment and I completely agree with him. They played PHYSIball and we weren’t tough enough mentally to overcome it.

  16. notcool_dood

The early Champagne hesitation to a shot clock violation killed our momentum, and also Wemby getting in foul trouble. Sengun is good, but shit he flops a lot for a big guy.

  17. Can’t wait till Julian Champagnie is off the team…

  18. Sengun been waiting for this day. Bro was probably losing sleep staring at the ceiling in the dark thinking about Wemby for 3 months straight after Wemby postered him. Sad part is nobody’s gonna remember his career game in 5 days 😥

  19. Awkward_Toe_5501

Wemby needs the Sengun focus…dude had 32 shots, wemby had 10…wtf is that

  20. Bitter-Safe-5333

Wembys gonna remember this game when we get rockets at home

  21. AfroHouseManiac

The refs let Brooks get away with everything on defense. And Ime had every single player converge on Wemby every time he touched the ball. You can’t have Sengun on Sochan and leaving sengun in the paint just shadow Wemby. And Bari was roaming just focused on Wemby. FVV was leaving Tyus open just to dig at Wemby.

Sengun looked like he was studying film on Wemby and taking this match up. Tip your hat to him. But the rockets bench calling Wemby “too small” was asinine.

  22. oceanfloors1

A bird shit on my forehead walking out of the stadium. Insult to injury.

  23. hectorRdz1201

Silver lining: Wemby learns from this. Our guy is a computer. He’ll download all this and be ready for it come next week. Revenge is a dish best served cold, my fellow Spurs fans!

  24. Fuck the rockets, mediocre ass team barely beating a learning and growing spurs. Every game lets me know the Spurs are in good hands and not the rockets. Also fuck Fred van leet. Bum person

  25. Jo-King-BP

So yeah, refs allowed them to play more physical than us. That might have helped them get so hot and Wemby so cold tonight. But man, our offense is a joke. We can’t build an attack at all. It takes forever for someone to rralise the ball holder needs a screen or an option. We take shots that have maybe 1% chance of getting in. Sochan refusing to hit 3s even with nobody guarding him at all. Wemby was quite useless today on offense too. His moves away from his screens too fast and didn’t even try to dribble and try 3s. It didn’t matter if he missed cause we missed most shots anyway but it would maybe have get him hot. Oh well. We can only do better.

  26. notcool_dood

You can see with the Rockets how a good PG than can score really make a difference. I feel Trae is not a good fit now that Wemby or Vassell mostly handles the ball, he becomes a spot up shooter that doesn’t shoot well. I think it’s better that he runs the second unit instead with Keldon.

  27. Houston’s broadcast showed the McGrady comeback before the game. If that’s any indication, it should be interesting when they choose to show highlights of tonight’s game in 2044. When they’re still sitting on 2 Olajuwon championships.

  28. This is why the Spurs need a really big 4 to put beside Victor, or a stretch 5, to take guys like Sengun or Sabonis. Let’s be real, Vic CAN’T put on too much weight or risk injury. He’ll never be able to bang with the physical centers in the league. The Spurs crumple under physical teams atm. A physical defender next to Vic is also a must going forward.

Sabonis coming next. Expect the same sort of play.

Pop should have had Mamu on the court on Sengun today. Somebody to get him off Vic. Chet is a center but he doesn’t defend the 5 all the time, he comes over in help defense
