The Atlanta Hawks defeated the New York Knicks, 116-100. Jalen Johnson led Atlanta with 26 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists as De’Andre Hunter (22 points) and Dejounte Murray (21 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists) totaled 43 points. Donte DiVincenzo led six Knicks in double figures with 21 points as Bojan Bogdanovic added 19 points. Atlanta moves to 27-34 as the Knicks fall to 36-26.

    Incredible win here on the road at the MSG. Obviously i know both teams are heavily injury depleted but to go on the road here and bounce back strongly was so nice to see. Always satisfying to win here at the madison square garden but i think the hawks really earned this one tonight. Went up by as many as 22, lost the entire lead near the end of that 3rd but took over in the 4th once again and knocked off new york. This was a team effort from everyone. Overall phenomenal team defense throughout, tough and physical. Dejounte was excellent especially in the clutch, his facilitating and had some clutch buckets in the 4th, man was cooking. Bogi had a bit of a tough shooting night but defensively he was solid, made some plays here and there. Saddiq on the attack was really good, his energy that he brought and his determination was huge tonight, made winning plays and didn’t back down. Jalen was outstanding, got great looks inside, played tremendous defense, and was incredible on the boards, what a game for him he is so promising. Capela defensively played a major role, he made some big time plays in that 4th too. Bench was also outstanding. Dre once again continues to be a bucket off the bench, he was outstanding tonight and his defense was elite, also had some big throw downs at the rim. Bruno brought the energy tonight, his defense was very much needed, trent and gary as well played some key underrated minutes. Lot of great efforts from everyone tonight, team effort, and great defense throughout. I know looking at the standings you feel helpless but it’s nice to see the hawks win a game like how they did, really wish they could be consistent with it. Back home we go, cleveland visits tomorrow night. Let’s go hawks #TrueToAtlanta

    Jalen Johnson had himself a helluva game as he scored 26pts on 12-17 shooting from the field and 2-3 shooting from three. He had 9 Rebs, 7 Asts and 1 STL to go along with his 26pts.

    I was hopeful but at the same time, I remained realistic. And here we are again with the Knicks. Just bound to lose. One way or the other. I give up for the season.
