Alperen Sengun totaled 45 points, 16 rebounds, and 5 steals as the Houston Rockets defeated the San Antonio Spurs, 114-101, after outscoring them 67-48 in the 2nd half. Jalen Green (23 points) and Fred VanVleet (21 points, 10 assists, 5 3PM) totaled 44 points. Devin Vassell (22 points, 8 rebounds) and Malaki Branham 20 points) led the Spurs as Victor Wembanyama totaled 10 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 blocks. The Rockets move to 27-34 as the Spurs fall to 13-49.

Alperen Sengun becomes the fifth player in NBA history to total 45+ PTS, 15+ REB, and 5+ STL in a game (since 1973-74, when steals were fully recorded), joining:

Anthony Davis – 2x
Joel Embiid – 1x
James Harden – 1x
John Drew – 1x

At 21y, 224d old, Sengun is the YOUNGEST player to ever record such a line, previously: Drew (23y, 121d).

    Alperen has been struggling in the last games, but in this one, he found a soft belly and destroyed it. I will have a look at their next game against LA Clippers. Beating the conference last shouldn't be a big success after all. You need to show yourself at tough games. Each Houston player.

    Re-watch the video and count how many points were scored with Wemby guarding him. I counted 19 points, Wemby went to the locker room in the 2nd quarter with a shoulder injury came back and didn’t attempt another field goal. The last two times Wemby faced Segun, Segun had 19 points and 20 points.

    Got to witness Alperen’s career high! Got his jersey too! Held Wemby to 10 points, Many spurs fans were in the building some left at the last 2 minutes when they knew they weren’t gonna win.

    there's like 6-7 inches between Wemby and Alpi, and he always finds a way to bully or go to the basket. I don't no how he does this, but i'm impressed, congratulations to him
