Norris Cole on how the Heat approach the regular season
“It’s about establishing habits”
“Sometimes Spo won’t make an adjustment on purpose”
“It was always what we called the harder way, the take more effort way. But that was to get us in training mode”

Cool insight from Cole. Y’all remember the championship van his family brought to the arena?
One time I formed a habit. It was for cocaine, but a habit nonetheless. Spo would be proud.
I have been saying this for as long as Spo has been a head coach. Sometimes he has wanky lineups but it’s literally to build chemistry with units so that players can form habits with that rotation. He has been doing this since that second Heatles season. And it was most apparent in the Gummy Boy era.
If every Miami Heat fan watched this and internalized what Cole is saying here we could have much less toxic regular season gamethreads.
I kinda always liked Cole – I remember in 2k14 I turned him into a 30pt scorer.
