how do you average 35 9 and 10 and you are not in top 3 for mvp discussions…. his team is 36-28… that is a good enough record for his numbers to win mvp the west is just so stacked this year. wins matter but context does too. wins matter enough to where i wouldn't mind SGA winning mvp but also if Minnesota ended in the 1st seed and ant man won…. i would have a problem with that.
MVP coversation debate is stupid. If you have injured ant, jokic sha…etc, than the next MVP would be somebody from higher team, because Luka is on 8th spot. Stupid.! MVP must be the person who is most valuable player in nba we can give MVP to defensive player…why not.

Shaq told it like it is, Luka is the baddest mofo in the league for sure, meaning he is the best player. He should definitely be MVP this year because none of the other players are better than him, and it's not his fault that the team is not doing as well as as some of the others. If you look at total production, ability, he's got everyone beat. He's the best player I've ever seen, and a lot of people are trying to ignore the fact that he is the baddest mofo in the league, like Barkley. And I'll save this for the record, Luka is a lot better than Barkley ever was or ever could be. He has the most all-around game I've ever seen any other player possess, that's the truth. To me, that makes him the greatest player of all time. He is better at more things, more aspects of the game than any other player that's ever played. His production is unbelievable for the minutes played. I appreciate Shaq pointing that out here. And Shaq is absolutely right, there's nobody on Minnesota better than him, there's nobody on any other team better than him. It shouldn't be based on team performance, the MVP. It should be based on total production, how much the player means to his team, how much he had to do with each and every win of the year. Also, he makes other players better, he plays unselfishly because he gets everyone involved, it's very sad to see guys like Barkley continue to put him down, he already has a lot more triple doubles than Larry Bird did in his whole career, and Larry Bird was a great player, one of the greatest actually. The fact is, Luka is a lot better than Larry Bird ever was, and that is saying an awful lot

If your having a year like Luka positioning shouldn't matter "as much". If they dot make the playoffs then of course not but take the players who you think are MVP right now and swap them with Luka. Would the Mavs be any better or the team Luka goes to?
