  1. Bobby forgot to mention that the boss has a responsibility to set their employees up for success. In a basketball setting, that means setting correct rotations for various scenarios
That is coaching 101. I know you guys are hamstrung by the organisation, but Kidds failings this season are glaringly obvious with this current roster.

  2. I agree with everything that Bobby ranted about…..The Mavericks players need to come together without the coaches and really decide what type of team they’re going to be. Defense has to come first, we know you’re a great offensive team but play defense. If that becomes a strength, no one will beat this team. #MFFL #LETSGOMAVS

  3. I know it’s tough as fans but we have to realize that this takes time to figure out. Adding 2 of your starting 5 isn’t gonna be an overnight fit.
You know those Nuggets and Celtics teams? It took them years to develop their core.
Celtics haven’t even won anything yet.
Give these guys time. They will figure it out.

  4. Why then, do you need coaches at all? Who decided to trust the new guys 100%. Kidd told us Exum was going to start when he returned from injury, yet the deadline trade threw that out the window, leading directly to the losing streak.

  5. When I started honing in on the Mavericks, the fanbase had to harass Kidd into calling timeouts to stop runs. Now, he does it all the time.

  6. There has been no accountability for poor play or failure to do their jobs. If your team has the effort level of a team that is tanking. It looks to me that players are half heartedly doing things they don't really believe in

  7. Nimrod! They're scoring so quickly because the word is out on your simple Simon schemes. When you watch the Mavs, you don't know possession to possession what they are supposed to be doing. A team is a reflect of its coach. If you are not doing your job, yet are not worried, or upset about it? That says something about your coach.

  8. A coach is responsible for holding players accountable for effort. Those 17 blowout losses that Kidd blew off during the year is coming back to bite them, Part 2. Dallas is the only team with a top 5 player whose floor is "out of the playoffs." Everyone else has a 50 win floor.

  9. Sadly, this was a more honest podcast before. Why are we defending Jkidd? Hold players accountable? THJ has been playing abysmal but still gets 20 minutes per game. He chucks, defends badly and have poor shot selection. He's playing like a ballhog without Luka's scoring abilities. If a player like that is allowed to remain on the floor while the camera pans to him just practicing dribbling after bricking a sideboard shot, the players are not the one in the wrong. If you watch games, you can see players losing morale as THJ just shoots another brick from steph curry range, all while waving hands away from an inbound passer he was supposed to mark. The coach and THJ have consistently avoided all accountability at this point I am not surprised if there are strings being pulled. At some point, you guys have to address the problem. Not "pick him up cause he is slumping", this is their job. This aint no therapy session, Klay has been shooting way better than THJ but he's being scrutinized way more than this guy whose ego is getting bloated by his father.

  10. When Luka makes an effort to play defense all the role players increase their effort on defense. In the NBA now effort is the difference between poor and good defense. Luka is in every way the leader of this team. Luka needs to decide which will help the Mavericks win most often, scoring 45 points or excreting himself on defense. He just cannot let his defensive assignment to go baseline behind him and dunk. There is a reason Grant Williams was not successful in Dallas, only Luka can be the leader on this team on both offense and on defense. Luka has more influence on the team than any of the coaches. When he leads the team follows.

  11. 9-10 seed. Why? Urgency is a direct reflection of your coach. He lacks urgency, so the team that he coaches lacks urgency. Mavs had been shaky against good teams.

  12. We all have bosses. Bobby's boss (ultimately) is the Mavs brass. That's why he's hyping Kidd. He's not neutral.

  13. That's funny, why did they run that play? Jason Kidd doesn't call plays, nor does he have plays. He's a consultant, not a coach.

  14. Josh Green should be the last role player to be trusted right now. He turns the ball over a ton, his decision making is so bad.

  15. Maybe Luka has to start looking for a new club. Even the organisation is blaming him for the losses. Hopefully he will watch this.
Just in my book, when a person is always looking for excuses for their failure (Kidd) its mostly their fault. And when someone always takes the blame (Luka) its usually someone else's, he is just taking the weight from someone's shoulder.

  16. Bobby, I am not sure I am with you on the boss example. There are great bosses and terrible bosses and this makes a hell of a difference. A great boss, you are going to war with him/her without hesitating. Bad boss, it demotivates you, you end up under performing. Yes, it's my job, it's what I am good at but still, I am not in the right mind space to deliver the best I could.

  17. It is much better putting out the pod the day before the Game guys. A pod like yours its long and interesting but feels a bit outdated when you dont watch It live. Be aware NBA is followed worldwide and a team like the Mavs with Luka, is one of the most popular teams in Europe. And we cant watch games live guys! Take It consideration. Thnxssss
