Steve Kerr Recaps Warriors Loss to Bulls | March 7, 2024

Do you know on uh any severity on Steph’s ankling I don’t know yet yeah he’s uh he’s got his foot in a bucket advice right now I haven’t talked to the training staff yet um what what part of I guess the last couple minutes is kind

Of most regretful for you uh you know give them credit I mean uh Demar made you know the uh the and one I thought that was the key shot in the uh in the you know closing few minutes um and um so you know got got uh we got to

Tighten up defensively and execute better um but um you know he made the shot and um give him credit our guys executed um you know offensively pretty well down the stretch made some big shots um the key to the game for me was um you know kind of late third they went

On that run they made a ton of threes and uh for the game they made 16 threes to hour 11 and uh these days in the NBA it’s tough to tough to win when you make five fewer uh threes than your opponent you called the D rozan shot kind of like

The key shot of the game it was on a pump faking n one which obviously he’s known for how difficult is it for a guy like Kam makea even knowing you know that the pump fake might be coming yeah I mean dear is one of the great closers

In the game he has been for 10 years so um you know it’s great experience for uh for all of our young guys JK and BP were in the in the pick and roll exchange so it’s good for them to feel this um um Moses too to you know to feel these big

Situations um and like I said I I’ve got no problem with our effort um execution um we just got outplayed Chicago was great they’ve been playing well um you know watching them on tape coming in to this game um I was you know I was pretty

Worried just because I you could see the force that they were playing with and the confidence and uh they came in and and earned it Steve your defense has been a big part of this surge you guys have had these last few weeks but second and third quarters they shot 60% um

Scored 74 points did you see what could you tell what what went around what what fell short there uh energy um it just didn’t feel like we were pressuring the ball um rotating quickly you know it just felt um like we never impacted them and they they kind of got into their

Stuff we had occasional good possessions but uh never felt like we had a stretch in the game uh where we kind of locked him down for a few minutes where we could make a run so you know they scored 125 shot 53% 16 threes um you know they deserve to win thanks

  1. GP2 didn't get a chance to play defense on Derozan all night. not sure why Kerr didn't stagger his minutes to match his

  2. I always wanted Demar as a Dub. I also wanted to see Kat or a return by Boogie Cousins and Javale McGhee – basically a skilled BIG which they now seem allergic to for some reason 🤦🏼‍♀️

Praying Steph’s ok and not seriously injured – I missed the game so idk what happened 🤷🏼‍♀️ Whatever the case, I sincerely hope they don’t waste any more of Steph’s time. We all know the clock is ticking down and he wants another chip for his legacy. He took their value from millions to billions so the least they can do is build a team he/they can win with.

  3. players chucked up too many threes in the last 3 mins of the game!! its higher percentage two point buckets that got the team back in the game!! So annoying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If they remained consist going in the paint the pressure to make that three at the end by CP wouldnt be needed. It wasn't the best three point shooting night and going in the paint was working!!!!!!!!!!

  4. IT was a great game and as Steve Kerry pointed out the young guys made a couple mistakes down the strech you would expect them to make going against a vet who is still playing at a very h igh level. I had no problem with the game. When steph went out and drayomd then fouled out it was clear it wasn't in the cards tonight. At least we didn't suffer through 5-10 dumb full court passes that are turn overs. Or just really bad passing into the middle that results in a turn over.

  5. Get well, Steph. I thought the effort was there. Draymond started it, and Wiggs went crazy on defense. Klay was outstanding. TJD was learning as he played. Podz, GP2, CP3 were all great. And Moody, what can I say? JK is one of kind. The only thing that might need looking at comes from our opponents, and what they do to Steph and Klay. They don't let them get started on shooting, because it could open a floodgate. Because all players practice shooting, sometimes, once they get going, it's hard to stop them(I'm thinking mostly of long shots here.). You coaches have your work cut out for you. If I missed any players, I apologize.

  6. My thing is, I thought TJD was going to start starting the game over Wiggs after the last game with Bucks. Wiggs is not giving enough to start 🤷🏽‍♀️ Steve Kerr is so wishy washy when it comes to the team 🤦🏾‍♀️
Make up your confused mind ijs

  7. It's ridiculous how no reporter calls out Coach Kerr, the Core 3, or GS management. This season will be wasted on somewhere between a play-in loss or quick second-round exit at best. This will be the outcome for three glaring reasons.

1.) The overall arrogance of making the decision to not acquire or sign a legit BIG. At least 15, if not 20 of GS's losses, are a direct result of being too small in the middle.

2.) Coach Kerr and the rest of the coaching staff, which seemingly refuse to make situational in-game adjustments. Example: In the last 2-4 minutes of the game against Chicago (at home no less), why wasn't GPII and Wigs in the game being they're the top two on-ball defenders on the team?!?!

3.) While all other players in the league have respect for the Core 3 and what's they've accomplished, they don't give a care one the game begins. When it comes to bringing it every night, they aren't very good at leading in that regard. The home record this sesson reflects an amount of complacency that has set in followed by lackadaisical starts that spread through the entire team. Example: Excessive amount of unforced turnovers, poor shot selection, and mind-numbing mistakes on defense, repeatedly leaving their defender wide open for the three.

They can not truly think they're a playoff championship contender at this point in the season, with these issues still being present. Ijs, you are what your record says you are. They're just giving us lip service to say otherwise!?!?!

  8. We beat the Bucks: "this team is a title contender #StrengthInNumbers 😤"

We lose: "fire steve kerr, we need more length, this team sucks"

Yall not fans. Ive literally seen people saying trade podz. Its honestly pathetic especially compared to our oracle days
