@ChandlerParsons on Luka not using his teammates

Commenting before all the Luka stans start flooding the comments with their 24/7 whiny tantrums
So he’s a guard version of Jokic, of the “unselfish, gets teammates involved” fame but he is also a bad teammate at the same time?? I’m confused. But maybe he’s right, we definitely should be running isos for THJ and Josh Green.
Obviously Hardy needs to be the focal point of the offense.
This is a dumb narrative but it’s to be expected with the Mavs underperforming. Casual observers will immediately point the finger at the star. Even though those of us that watch know his teammates can barely do 3 dribbles without turning it over
The problem is the Mavs have no offensive system. The game plan appears most nights to be give the ball to Luka and Kyrie and let them figure it out. I would love to see Luka play more off ball and he did at the beginning of the year.
Franchise player gets credit when it goes well and the blame when the team sucks.
our offensive game plan consists of a few things … which obviously aren’t bad because we score a lot, offense isn’t the problem
our defense is dogshit and luka’s defense the other night was fucking pathetic as a ‘leader’ on the team.
i saw at least 3 times he’s talking to the ref not even aware of what the fuck is going on around him by the heat while they were running their play and scoring
saw at least 3 times where he just lazily moves around which causes his man to get open for something big
saw at least 3 times where it looks like he doesnt even know where the fuck he needs to be standing.
our offense is predictable i suppose, but it gets us enough points.
our defense by our team leader is so bad it’s pathetic.
This makes sense coming from him because Chandler Parsons is like Luka Doncic if Luka Doncic sucked at basketball
Maybe this is what Parsons felt when he played with Harden and assumed that this is what Luka’s teammates feel for him. 🤷🏻♀️
I think Luka can and is willing to play off ball but only when he shares the floor with Kyrie and/or Exum. You can see that he has complete trust in those guys.
If there’s anything exhausting about Luka, it’s his defense and attitude when things don’t go his way. His defense in the first half against the heat was so bad he even had an Otto Porter moment.😅
You can’t criticize Luka here, at minimum you will get downvoted.
IDK his teammates are constantly praising him and showing him love and talking about his unselfishness. Talking about how he makes it easy for them and how he should be MVP. You can tell his teammates, especially someone like Lively, loves Luka. This sounds more like projection from Parsons considering he played with Harden who was considered a heliocentric player himself. I honestly just think we need a coaching staff to do more and implement playcalling and ball movement that isn’t just relying on Luka or Kyrie. Luka and Kyrie have bailed Kidd out so many times this season that I’ve lost count. We need more of a system in place for sure.
Parsons had a long tenured career in this league. Active players can’t outright critique Luka because of the bad optics, but I wonder if this take is truly farfetched. Luka is a great player but I’ve never seen a character of his caliber have such a direct negative impact on his team when it comes to complaining, body language, and defensive effort. This team has multiple issues, but Luka’s leadership is still one of them.
It was exhausting watching you get paid and not play.
Do these people even watch Mavs games? Do they even watch basketball at all? xd
i mean luka averages 9+ assists a game and gives the most open looks of anyone to his teammates? any 3 pt sniper should be so lucky to have one teammate command this much gravity
Luka fud from a wannabe mid. Man is cooking.

Parsons single handedly ruined the tail end of Dirk’s career. Dirk took a big pay cut and we ended up with Parsons.
I’m not gonna go all out on him because injuries suck and he had no control (sorta) over that but I’ll never take any of his basketball takes seriously.
He could even be thrown in the “fuck dwade, fuck rondo” convos, although dwade has made significant strides to mend that relationship which I’ll honor in good faith.
I think Chandler Parsons should sit this out lol.
Nothing more annoying than seeing a teammate get injured and suck at basketball while taking up a good chunk of the team’s payroll.
The swindler strikes again.
Who?
Yes Chandler Parsons, we’d love to see THJ PNR into a side step 30ft shot
whois Chandler Parsons?
Chandler Parsons? Never heard of her
HARDAWAY? IS HE BACKK LET’S GO
I mean, if you’re not a catch and shoot, knock-down spot-up shooter, it’s hard to get baskets with Luka on the floor.
Mostly, you’re standing in the corner and waiting for Luka to break down the defense, hoping your guy shifts to double and you catch and shoot.
I’m sure it does suck if you’re the #4 option on the floor. Just stand in one spot on offense and focus on defense.
Chandler Parsons, who was absolute clown shoes on every team he played for, who couldn’t keep his dick in his pants long enough to focus on basketball, who ended up needing a car accident to get him out of the league, criticizing Luka? That’s hilarious.
What does Jokic do differently?
Chandler parsons is right. I don’t blame Luka for playing the most efficient form of basketball available to him which really just sets him up to be a hall of Famer.
Mavs system gets Luka big numbers but makes the team worse. For him to run the ball full court almost every possession and bang against players for fouls is unrealistic for any athletic expectation that he wouldn’t be exhausted and a liability on defense. Teams don’t need to try to shut Luka down, all they need is a few stops and to take advantage of his lack of defense, that’s all the momentum required.
The lack of team basketball means his style, although impossible to fully stop, can be limited in effectiveness. Compare with Golden State in their dynasty era or even Denver and you see a style of basketball that gets people involved and relies on having a system that suits the team not just the star. That’s the missing element to make a championship caliber team.
Both GSW and Denver’s schemes are pretty unpredictable. You could say the same about the Miamis run last year which was really just a really solid style of team basketball.
THJ turns the ball over every time he takes more than 5 dribbles or tries to do a basic crossover. I wouldn’t trust him with the ball either.
And Parsons was sitting with Cuban courtside when he made this statement. Thanks Mark. Way to support your star player…
I always got tired of seeing Parsons on the injured reserve list. Shut up dildo.

As if Shaq, Duncan, Nash or Kobe didn’t simply spam the same play as nauseam their whole careers…
What’s truly exhausting is the lazy haterade fueled takes from everybody about Luka.
I used to like Chandler Parsons, but he took an arrow to the knee.
