They um they go on a 13-3 run take a two-point lead early in the fourth and then from there you and Dame score 20 23 the three being the the kick to Brook so what what did you two see I guess that allowed that two-man game to work and

Really kind of take the game over fourth quarter um just trying to play basketball you know I think D was being aggressive was making something happen um especially out of the pick and the row early the first couple times we did it was playing a little bit back you

Know was able to get to his shots get to his three kind of get to the mean r pull up for a to you know just make something happen afterwards you know he was hitting in the pocket uh but like it’s time that we work in practice

Um it’s something that the team knows that we going to have to do at times uh we did it against against the Lakers it worked I think we got a lot of good shots down the stretch but we wasn’t able to get stops we did it tonight it

Worked uh it’s something we going to have to do moveing forward and Um guys I think aranas are ready to shoot Brook was ready to shoot Malik is ready to shoot Pat Jay whoever’s on the floor is ready to shoot but uh there’s going to be times that they have to be great and uh we both have to play make

Um in the last six minutes jannis can you I I spoke with Doc and Dame about just your growing chemistry you both had double digit assists I believe in back to back games you just speak about your growing chemistry not only with scoring but just with playmaking and getting

Others involved on the team uh we have to get guys involved um I didn’t they like you we know when the game start it’s going to played through me and Dame but the more we can kick the ball ahead the more we can find them in transition

The more we can get them Corner threes uh the more we can hit them in the pocket uh it makes the game easier for us um down the stretch like you need everybody to be involved you need everybody to feel like they’re involved you need everybody to feel that ball

Feel that energy and I feel like we’ve been doing a good job just Distributing the game you know the right way playing the right way uh but again when it comes to the last six minutes you know Dame’s going to have the ball in his hand and

He’s going to try to make decision we hope everybody has to be able to you know live with that uh might not be the whole game uh but it might be the last six minutes and then now you got to four riding place in your role you know be

Ready to shoot be ready to cut be ready to defend uh but throughout the whole game you want everybody to touch you want be Bobby to touch it he want Jay to touch he want Pat to be aggressive he want Pat Bev to be aggressive you know

So I think as leaders of the team we’ve been doing a good job just Distributing the ball the right way can you take what you saw on that pitch back today as he comes over to the left side and shoots that on the um kind of the double team

Him gave me the ball I kind of looked at the low man let me see if he was uh rotating early uh usually when he rotate uh BP or Pat or somebody’s working the dunker um if when that guy’s working the dunker the low man kind of is woring

About him that means I have a lane to go if not that means since a pass but while I was looking at that D was yelling yanis yanis Yannis Yannis so I looked and I saw him coming full speed and I just gave him the ball

And all time great he did what he did man um tough off balance shot made it and gave us momentum uh and I think that play from that play we kind of won the game he WS the game you know for you guys that felt like the

First action didn’t work you swung it got it back and then another action with you and Dame throughout this year you guys have had that first one but then that second and third action with each other hasn’t been there a lot what are you guys seeing now that gives you the

The patience to we work on it now we work on it now like before I think we thought it’s going to be I come out of the pick and roll boom I hit yianis just GNA do his thing if Yan is not there then I’m going to shoot it no like now

We work on it sometimes it hit me in the pocket I look there’s nothing there come right back now what they going to do my guy is way back so what he going to do is he going to jump does he have the time to jump I don’t think so so I come

Right back set it you know he comes out now he’s going downhill or he has a three like now I think we are more patient we we we have to play the game more um but again it’s not just we don’t talk about it only we we practice it

Like there’s been a lot of practices that me and Dame and the whole team you know we do five and0 and we go like five straight minutes just me and them just going back and forth just back and forth and back and forth and back and forth I

Have something I go back to and you know now organically you can you can see it coming out to in the game and I’m happy about that you know I’m happy about that the the our teammate know that we do it they know that we’re

Going to do it so um I believe that might help us win a lot of games you know and that allows us to both be great but at the end of the day like that wasn’t just we worked on it that was they wanted the ball you know like he

Was yelling like ball b b you know when a guy like that he’s yelling for the ball you got to give it to Himi you know when it comes to yourself with with a guy like Dame and guys like Malik who are knocking down shots like how is the

Game opening up for you for you to you know maximize your abilities that game is not really open up for me I’m not even going to lie to you but uh it’s nice to have teammates that can knock down shots you know space the floor for me but again

Like uh teams doesn’t they don’t want me to get in the pain you know uh and now I think I’m just I’ve become more willing passer like I find those guys and those guys are knocking down shots I love playing with great players from J from

Brook from Malik as you said uh Dame all the guys that is out there great players like you know when you throw the ball you know they’re going to make something happen they’re going to make the right play for the team they’re going to make a winning play

Um but you know I always had this idea in my head you know the more I pass it you know the more it’s going to open up that’s not that’s a me my brother that’s a myth J has talked about as far as headed into the playoffs second half of

The season how hungry are you guys to win it all and what will it take to put those components together um I don’t know what it’s going to take um what I know is that we’re going to work harder every single day we’re going to give everything to the

Game um we are getting better our defense is getting better offensively getting better chemistry is getting better one two U me and Dam game is getting better uh our rules people are following our rules and you know um and they’re playing to win so we I think we

Are heading towards the right we are heading towards the right direction now what is going to take I really don’t know um it’s very far I think we have 16 more games 17 more games to go we have one against Sacramento which is going to be a very

Very very tough one and we take it game by game you know game by game build good habits and hopefully when it matters the most we can play the you know uh the best basketball we can play now I cannot think about you know the championship it’s too

Far it’s too far do I am I hungry yes I am but I feel like uh you know when you have like a Ferrari you know you put your uh your food to The Petal and you’re going 200 mil per hour you can do that but uh eventually you’re

Games away from uh Championship so game by game but I know uh we’re heading towards the right direction right now last one in the back uh Yi do you feel like you guys have enough time to develop the chemistry necessary with the new coach and a new system and how much

Do you guys miss Chris Middleton right now so you can actually know what you have you know the full package of the Milwaukee Bucks um do we have time yes I I want to believe we have time because if I believe that we need have time there’s

But I’m happy for the guys that they’re on the floor right now you know the last couple of uh I think six nine games we played after the AA game we’ve last two and seven you know seven and two we’re playing good basketball right now hopefully when Chris comes back he can

Compliment us even even more more it makes the game easier for us that doesn’t mean we are going to win and be better that’s always work that way but um you know obviously like having a guy like Chris out there especially down the stretch you know um he’s only going to

Make winning plays for us he’s going to make tough shots he knows how to defend he knows how to play the game he knows how to put us in the right spot so we’re um we’re um excited for him he’s going to be back I don’t know he’s going back

A few games so uh his s is ready to go I think he understands that we we we have uh we have a chance here to be great we have a chance here to to compete I don’t know if you’re going to win or but we

Have a chance to compete and that’s all you can ask for so um I think when he comes back he’s going to compliment our team when you look at Patrick Beverly a lot of his teammates guys who play with him love playing with him but yes on the

Other side guys hate going against I’m curious what your experience has been like playing with him and before playing against him you know it’s he one of those guys that sorry for my language that you say he a a-hole but when he plays on your team you’re like that’s my

A-hole you know and I love him so sorry for my language but we love we love playing with him man he he’s uh he’s he’s a leader he knows how to play the game he’s a winner you know uh I’ve been playing against him for a lot of years

Now I don’t think I ever liked playing against him he always come marks the game he’s like an instigate or he push your your buttons but like having on your own team uh he makes the game easier for us you know he’s going to make that extra effort that extra play

He’s going to dive on the floor he’s going to set the screen for you he’s going to get that extra rebound you know he’s going to make the right pass so I love playing with him
