The Best Lonzo Ball News We’ve Received in Two Years

The Best Lonzo Ball News We’ve Received in Two Years

When the Chicago Bulls signed Lonzo ball in the summer of 2021 via a sign and trade to a contract worth4 years $80 million the thought at that time was this was the Bulls point guard for the future the point guard to put alongside Zack LaVine and Nikola vuvi and then of

Course later on signing Demar de rozan a week later that Lonzo was going to be that glue guy that fit all of these together the Bulls needed a point guard a true point guard something they had been looking to put in place for some time and while there was some skepticism

From fans in the media on whether that was an over pay for Lonzo ball most believe this to be a great signing one the Bulls desperately needed and sure enough coming out of the gate in the 2122 season everything was clicking with the new look Bulls roster starting out

The year 4-0 would consistently string wins together throughout the year a healthy balance of offense and defense with Elite offensive players in Demar and Zach and even Nikola vuich your strong defenders in Lonzo ball Patrick Williams and Alex Kusa coming off the bench the Bulls somehow found themselves

Sitting number one in the East just after the All-Star break but then things fell apart from there shortly after the All-Star break that season in large part due to Lonzo ball suffering a knee injury which later became a bone bruise and what was initially a 6 to8 we

Timeline for his return kept getting pushed out further and further making it now more than 2 years since we’ve seen Lonzo return to action his last game on the court being January 14th of 2022 and while throughout that time period we kept hearing updates on Lonzo status the

Possibility of him returning in the 2223 season before being ruled out For That season its entirety and then of course the third surgery the third surgery on that same knee really the fourth when you factor in that he had that surgery on that left knee back between his

Rookie and sophomore season but that final surgery being the most complicated a cartilage transplant which has an extensive recovery time and a procedure in which not a single player in NBA history has ever been able to return back to the game the few players who have had cartilage transplants in the

NBA they were never able to make a comeback to the league but for the first time we we just had the most positive Lonzo ball update we’ve received since him first injuring that knee in early 2022 that Lonzo ball has finally started sprinting cutting and jumping without

Pain and has been responding well in these workouts and the reason this is such a big deal as it relates to Lonzo Ball’s rehab is because throughout this period in which Lonzo has been out he’s never been able to get beyond the point of sprinting or cutting without

Experiencing any pain whenever we heard about setbacks and the recovery process it was always when it came time to sprinting and cutting see how he would respond and Lonzo and the doctors were simply befuddled in explaining and understanding why he was still experiencing pain in that knee but now

We get this excellent news that he’s been able to get to this point in his recovery where he’s not experiencing any pain a very positive sign for his road to recovery and potentially returning next season now I do want to be clear this does not mean that Lonzo is fully

Healed it doesn’t mean that he is for sure coming back next season or that he’s even going to be able to return to the game of basketball ever again we do still have to remember that no player has ever come back from the this procedure we have to remember that this

Is the fourth surgery that he’s had on that knee throughout his career we have to remember that he hasn’t played 2 and a half years and also keep in mind Lonzo still has not begun any basketball activities especially as it relates to running drills or any kind of contact

Activity in practice but regardless the fact that Lonzo has finally gotten over this hump and finally being able to Sprint and cut without incident does give us hope that we could see Lonzo ball return to the court next season now will Lonzo be the same player he was

Before for missing all that time very unlikely or at least it would take a very considerable amount of time for him to be able to get back to that point when you miss so much NBA action and I also don’t have any doubts that if Lonzo

Does return he’s likely going to be on some strict minut restriction for a while but even if Lonzo is say only 60% of the player he used to be and if he’s able to at a minimum maintain his shooting because M was shooting 42% on high volume over seven attempts per game

For reference that’s actually better than what Kobe wri is currently at in his best shooting season even even just to have him operate as a catch and shoot shooter would be huge for the Bulls the other thing that gives me hope is that Lonzo ball is one of the highest IQ

Players out there a super smart Savvy point guard impeccable Court Vision great instincts and awareness like as much as your body might give up on you you don’t lose that IQ he’s still going to be a smart basketball player that knows how to make the right plays so I

Know I’m probably being a little too optimistic when it comes to a potential Lonzo ball return but I do firmly believe that even if they only get 50 to 60% of what Lonzo ball used to be that is a huge come up for the Bulls especially when you’re talking about a

Player we thought we would never see return to the court again still I do have my doubts that we’ll see Lonzo returned to the game I want to be wrong I want to be so wrong but I’m also being realistic and understanding the history of this procedure and how it’s impacted

Other players careers but all I know is if Lonzo ball can come back and he’s able to still make an impact on the court after being out two and a half years it’s going to be one of the greatest comeback stories in the history of sports I’m hoping for it anyway

Wanted to share my thoughts on this recent Lonzo ball update that we got yesterday right before the game let me know what you guys think in the comments as always be sure to subscribe and I will see you in the next one

  1. Look, I know I shouldn't get pulled back in to AK's words of competitiveness, but I am willing to give this God forsaken team ONE more season if Lonzo comes back next season.

  2. Watching the team this year makes you wonder how good we’d be healthy we beat pretty good teams and compete with the best we really missing Zach and lonzo even Patrick Williams

  3. I truly feel like this squad can be legit if we can move Coby to the 2, and get a decent haul for Lavine/ sign and trade demar.

  4. Has anyone ever been legit physically unable to play professional sports for years, then come back to make any sort of real impact?
I hate this happened to Lonzo and i respect his resiliency, but I am not depending on his return

  5. hopefully he can come back, really enjoyed watching him improve and get better every season he played.

  6. Once he starts running and having full contact play is when I will entertain Ball potentially returning. Big Ball is on record telling him to take his time which angers me but various doctors say that he’s done… We will see this offseason.

  7. Man this whole scenario just gives me flashbacks to the rose era and the tons of ups and downs Derrick had to go through. Chicago deserves a healthy guard.

  8. It was to early for the next Dynasty… Lonzo yung bro.. Coby… Dasumu… Ready to fill in Billys 3 guard system… Zach and DMar taught the yunginz all they needed to know… Bull Bulls grabbing a versatile Big… Like MoBamba… Listen… Dude never had a PG to play with… Imagine Lonzo teaching him offensive pick and roll game… He shoot 3s and the help on d gone help him to… Line up.. Coby… Dausumu… Ball… Williams… Bamba… That's a nice 5 bro

  9. 'Zo is barely a Bull. 34 games played of 246. 63m dollars paid so far…84m dollars if he finishes with us next season. 'Zo? Get another job.

  10. Happy for lonzo Ball thats great news poor guy hopefully he can comeback and just be effective prayers up 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿

  11. honestly even if he has a limited bench role and doesn’t impact winning much, this would be such a morale boost for this organization and maybe help out our free agent destination odds. For better or for worse, the current regime does not give up on these guys lol.

  12. It was awesome to see lonzo on the bench lookin happy vs the clippers! Hope he comes back soon I miss him sm

  13. Let just hope he can finally stay healthy because the bulls will definitely need him next season i don't know if Levine's going to be with the bulls next season but time will tell has a fan all I ask is for this bulls team can finish this season strong

  14. I’m sorry but at this point Lonzo is basically the Ben Simmons of the league and he’ll be too unreliable to make any significant impact on the Bulls

  15. Hell yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is the video i have been needing! eff lonzo man, why is he never on the bench at bulls games???????????? could be adding morale and advice.. probably re injured his dumbass knee getting up and down outta that chair

  16. I want to see him return. He should start off the bench for the time being until he is fully ready to play once again as the starting pg

  17. OK. Let's say comes back.
    His contract is almost finished.
Do the Bulls give him a new contract??
I say NO — unless he gives a good discount for these
    lost years.

  18. Making a comeback for that purse his contract is up so he needs to show up again on that court I've been saying this for the past years why didn't he post any rehab videos or excericisng videos? Instead his ig got him attending parties which he later on deleted hahaha that dude is a fraud

  19. Well, when you sit out two years, you lose something.. most time significant loses for NBA basketball.. Best case he is a bench player for the next 3 years.. Worse case, he cant play at the NBA level anymore and the Bulls get that cap space back..

  20. If Lonzo can comeback he probably will be on a minutes restriction for the first half of the season.

  21. Wish the best for him, but even if does get healthy if yall think the Bulls would re-sign him yall are crazy. 4yrs / $80 million, you know what kinda difference that makes? I hate this happened, would’ve could’ves just like with Pooh. 😕

  22. This team with a healthy Lonzo playing like we know he can plus Zach back and DeMar extended plus pwill living up to his pick and a solid off season. I believe we can whoop some ass.

  23. Honestly I'm just happy Lonzo is able to go through life without being in pain. Forget about basketball, on a human level having him be able to live a normal life without issues is amazing and a great thing.

  24. What other players have had this surgery? I am looking but I haven't been able to find other players who had it and still weren't able to return. Just wondering who those guys were.
