Wolves’ Finch on Reid stepping up, again; Lack of physicality vs. Lakers
You know I think um ball movement you know kind of dried up a little bit um but you know really it was like the those offensive rebounds at the other end of floor that hurt us more than the fourth we got off to a slow start offensively both the third and the fourth
Quarter um but I felt confident we were be able to come back but when you you know so many second shots and it’s it’s difficult at that point so is that I mean 80 size just yeah I mean know he should have dominated us he had sides he
Had every length he had all that stuff um you know was in the paint for seven eight seconds every time they shot the ball you know it’s easy to go get the get it but we got to do a better job of rooting them out so it seems like this
Team has been defensive first all year with the injuries that you have now you have to Pivot a little bit to more of what no I mean we don’t I mean I was a little disappointed you know it took us way too long to find our physicality on
The ball um you know I don’t know if we were playing to keep ourselves out foul trouble um it was clear they weren’t going to blow the whistle a lot so we should have been way more physical in the beginning in the game um you know
Once we started to get physical in the third we we were right back in the game um and then just but we needed to do that more from the beginning so so when Nas 21 in the first half four after halftime what did they do defensively to
Try to take him I mean they fli the match up a little bit they put uh Davis on McDaniels left him in the paint um and uh you know they switched a little bit more often on the ball but I thought ND had still had good opportunities I
Didn’t you know didn’t feel like um you know that they kind of completely xed them out of the game you know other guys were getting involved we were trying to go other other ways different matchups to kind of uh pick on some of the things that did or didn’t want to switch so
Some general with nas last year when Carl went out that was kind of the time he really stepped up and kind of maybe kicked his game up a notch um is this maybe an opportunity now for him to really cement you know and maybe take another step in terms of his growth and
Development with Carl being out I mean I think so I mean he’s proved that all year though to be honest with you you know his his numbers have been um not just his numbers but his play his impact Off the Bench his numbers with Rudy have
Been really really strong um but yeah I mean we we need him to play like this right now you know being in the position that we’re in um so yeah understand an’s always had an important role obviously how have you seen him adjust his play
With you know C tonight well I mean it’s definitely up his aggressiveness the ball’s in his hands a lot more um you know he still has to continue to make the right reads out there I think he needs to play a little quicker at times catch and shoot catch and drive um
But you know for the most part I see him trying to do all the right things so you have a read on how long Rudy might be out yet no I do not no um just kind of defensively when we’re using that out there what you know you mentioned the physicality but does
It change kind of styles we kind of searching for maybe well you know we started the game trying to be aggressive and pick and roll um um you know they did a good they did a good job of picking that apart um you know they got
A lot of you know hit the pocket they played through it you know ball found LeBron LeBron’s going to find the right play all the time so um we looked a little rusty there but um you know tried some Zone we tried to we tried everything we’re up we were back we pick
And roll a lot of things we just got we had to be more physical on the ball and more impactful on the ball so do you like the shots that you generated a lot I mean the first three would seemed like even Jaden a couple got I mean wide open
Looks that just didn’t yeah for sure I mean um I thought the ball moved really well I thought the bodies were moving pretty well uh got a little static there in the in in in the second half at times but for the most part you know I thought
Um yeah I was pretty pleased with the offense you know [Applause] so

I don’t know how you’re supposed to be physical vs the lakers when you get called for touch fouls and they don’t get called for anything
LAKERS STAYED AT THE FREETHROW LINE
