So tired of hearing this same shit. We get it.

KG also said the game changes and that doesn’t mean one game is less than another. But the average NBA player today is wayyy better than some of the top during his era

Edit: I apologize. I apologize. Listen to the Stephen A interview yourself. The average guys during the JORDAN era

It was also a league with essentially no help defense.

I’m ngl the older I get the more annoying I find KG. Fake tough guy

Even if it was true, what is the intention behind these “back in my day” comments? I am tougher because I played in the earlier era?

People like to call KG a fake tough guy, but what does that even mean? You’re only “real” if you’re getting fined and suspended for fighting all the time? I guess Draymond is the only real tough guy in the league then…

Sports in general just aren’t as fun, I’m sorry but athletes today are so soft and spoiled. I just enjoy the older eras more.

Nostalgia is a toxic impulse. Every “old” group thinks the “young” group is soft. This has been going on since the beginning of time.

Sports are different in different eras. yeah we know. This isn’t worth a click

The league was tougher then. Not taking nothing away from Lebron but he played the last 10 years where the league took most of the physicality away on defense. I don’t think he would have lasted 20 years getting beaten up every game.

KG never said it was tougher in the 90s. All he said was guys like Karl Malone would elbow the fuck outta you and it was not a foul call. So you had a deal with it

Realistically 5-10% of NBA media is just retired players who are sad about being too old to play, and therefore take out their frustration by talking shit about the league, and explaining how it was better back in their day.

  13. It’s funny seeing all of the younger people now upset at the prior generation saying their era was tougher or better when we all know in 10 years they will be the older ones saying that the 2020s was the best while the next generation poops on them.
