He’s flexed both ankles in ways I’ve never seen others recover (or expect to recover) as quickly. 🙏 to a permanent and fast recovery.

The season is over so at least he’s good to go for most of the off season and next year.

I was really hoping it would be a Grade 2 after reading Woj’s tweet.
Grade 3 is a full tear of the ligament. Definitely not as serious as an ACL or meniscus but still pretty brutal. Looks like Reggie Jackson, Lonzo Ball, and Matthew Dellavedova also suffered a Grade 3 tear and the average missed time is around 33 games which corresponds to 3-4 months. I expect Sengun to be fully recovered around mid-July which would give him 2-3 months of the remaining offseason before the training camp.
edit: Apparently De’Aaron Fox missed only 17 games due to a grade 3 ankle sprain back in 2019 so faster recovery is possible (1-2 months)

Soooo….In the history of grade 3 ankle sprains….how does that tend to heal?

Likely to re-injure in the future?
“likely ends his regular season.”
Sounds like he’ll be ready for our title run!!
