  1. DubbleDribbler

Damn y’all had #33 open at the other end of the floor for 3 during the inbound.

Not a spurs fan so idk if he can shoot the 3 but

  2. adelphotes

    On track for 30-52

Close run at the end but no dice on the free throw back and forth, great games by Jeremy and Tre!

    Go Spurs Go!

  3. DriveForFive219

The NBA gotta do something about take fouls in those situations. Just takes all the climax out of the game. Either way, Fuck the rockets

Edit: did we ever do it with 20 seconds or less in a non-playoff game? Actually asking I don’t remember. Either way I don’t like it fr

  4. I’m sorry Houston I didn’t know y’all ball **LIKE A BITCH**

  5. I missed the game tonight. Can someone give me the sparknotes?

  6. The_Guerrilla

We’ve had some bad losses this season, this one was right up there.

  7. irrelevance_90

We need a PG and a starting-caliber SF badly. Probably a strong defensive backup C too.

  8. We don’t have a single player on the team that can break down defenses

Even if they don’t trade for Trae Young they gotta do something. Though just drafting someone like Topic or Dillingham would help

  9. bdictjames

If the Rockets had Sengun, this would be a 10-point loss at least.

Ime knows how to coach, specifically against us.

  10. Blue-bird-chip

Sochan balled out. At least we got that going

  11. ohyeah_mamaman

Just want to say the Rockets have the worst hair per capita of any team in the league. Most of it is Reggie Bullock but Brooks and Landale aren’t far behind.

  12. Getting worked by the rockets 3 times in a single season is rock bottom for any organization. Changes need to be made in the off-season.

(And I’m not saying this to be reactionary after a bad game. I’ve been saying this all season long while everyone is arguing that most of the G-Leaguers on our team are our future)

  13. Awkward_Toe_5501

Team doesn’t know how to function with Wemby. Without they play well…with him they forget, it’s like a skillgap

  14. Askme4musicreccspls

Credit to Rockets for disrupting Wemby more than most teams, but that loss is on us.

  15. SunKing210

It sucks but gotta give Houston a lot of credit for their defense. They played with a ton of energy from start to finish!

Just waiting for the day that we can replace Julian with an actual NBA level talent and upgrade the Wing position in general. Teams quickly figured out that doubling/triple teaming Wemby is safe and worth the risk

  16. notcool_dood

We really need a PG that can create his own shot like Vanvleet. Wemby will continue to get hounded like this if the players around him can’t consistently shoot. Also our ball handlers need to learn to run a pick and roll with Wemby, funny enough Blake is the only one I see who can pass back the ball to Wemby when doing a pick and roll.

  17. siphillis

I’m surprised more teams don’t defend Wemby like the Rockets do. It’s really not complicated: triple him when the has the ball, and wait for his teammates to brick from deep.

  18. Alltalent

Funny how that was enough to call a foul, hats off to this ref crew

  19. wemBanana

how was that not an and-1 by vassell at the end?

  20. Inner_Emu4716

Good late-game comeback, sucks we couldn’t get it done. Defense was absolutely terrible. Devin Vassell has to play better than that, one of his most disappointing showings of the season. Tre and Jeremy were great. Onto the next

  21. fireemblem4812

Gotta give a massive shoutout to Jeremy Sochan, the fact that he’s gone from 50% free throw shooting to “oh good they fouled Sochan, he can make free throws” is such an incredible improvement in just 2 years.

I am 100% sure he’s never going back to regular free throw form, he’s “the one-handed free throw shooter” now.

  22. All I can say is that I hope all these losses get us a good ass player and that our entire team needs to be revamped completely next season. Only 5 or 6 players should be kept

  23. Classic_Average_2563

To people complaining about Wemby’s minutes constantly: did you actually watch the game? 5 minutes into the first quarter and he was already looking exhausted.

Just a few things about Wemby: his screens basically don’t do anything most of the time. And I’m guessing he’s not driving or cutting to the rim as much because of the injury. Also, he was trying to post up from near the three point line. You’re just not getting the ball at that point.

If you want to blame this loss on someone, blame it on Wemby and Devin. But the way the beginning of the season was going, I’m glad we at least have 14 wins.

  24. aaronlovescrypto

The tank rolls on, Pop put out some funky lineups tonight

  25. Busy_Professional824

Like this mamu guy. Vick blowing assignments and quitting in the 3rd was not a good look. I can’t wait until we win all these close games.

  26. InsertDev

I know its a back to back. But jeez, parts of the game it looked like they already had their bags packed for the season. Low IQ, low effort plays.

I still dont understand why Pop is trying Barlow Wemby together. Probably thinks they need to work it out on the court but it wont.

Team needs vets badly. At least need 2 this off season.

  27. BraveCable

We can beat OKC but lose close games like this. That’s so frustrating. Hope Wemby drops 70 on them when he gets older.

  28. Prudent-Mate

I’m so fucking tired of our ‘Point God’ Jones era.

All bad, bad defense, bad offense…. even his ‘playmaking’ is overrated as f.

It’s funny Who compares two horrible players like Him and Killian Hayes. Both are awful.

It’s cute that he is the number 1 in “caring the ball” but the guy doesn’t risk anything. Nothing new… the same moves.

I hope that in the next draft we choose…. something new even in free agency.

    He’s Sharle Larkin without shot.

  29. Davidpaulngo

Close but not quite enough. Houston’s defense is really good to be honest, its just their offense that’s keeping them from having a winning record (kept us in the game also). It’s the kind of defense a young team (like our Spurs) will struggle against.

Victor was a little better today than last game against the Rockets, though defensively either lacked a little bit of energy or focus at times. Devin really struggled this game. He will learn from this, he will be more mindful and in-control when he drives. He got his cookies taken a few times from driving into a crowd. He also took his usual tough shots which hopefully he will learn to take easier ones.

Tre honestly played perfectly for the most part, get the ball to Vic, hit the open shots after the double comes.. it was just tough to expect him to keep that up for the entire game.

Loved Sochan’s game today.. apart from a couple of miscues, his defense was clamps on Jalen Green, he took great shots, made great plays. For a stretch in the 4th I found it quite sus that he wasn’t in the game.. it could’ve been the Mamu minutes (which were good for a while).

As usual, could’ve been better at hitting open shots.. could’ve had better clock management late as well, took too long to get shots up and too long to foul. On to the next one.

  30. Prudent-Mate

Please give more minutes to Mamu instead of Keldon or Champagne.

  31. Tight-Transition-364

Glad I didn’t watch till the end. The fact that they made it close and still lost would have pissed me more and ruined my night. All I have to say is Vassell sucks. Dude just decided to go on vacation tonight.

  32. Enzothebaker34

I thought Victor definitively had 3 blocks. Must be going crazy.

  33. ganyobi_kwaw

    Vassel is not 100%.

    Probably Wemby too.

Ah well, they are athletes. They should learn to play through times like these, I guess. 🤷🏿‍♂️

    Good game. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿

  34. DirtyWizardsBrew

Look, at least it wasn’t a blow out and Jeremy did real good work.

The last few wins we’ve had have shown the promise the guys have. You’ve gotta remind yourself: it’s a very young, raw team still going through the trials and errors of learning how to be consistent and how to win. It’s our first season with this group — we’re gonna be fine.

  35. Houston are handsy and super physical against wemby, we need to be ready to be played like tonight

  36. Wemby needs to figure out Dillion Brooke’s draw fouls faster

  37. Because teams are going to swarm Wemby in the paint, any game where we can’t shoot the 3 we’re going to struggle to win.

On the plus side this is a very easy and clear way to build for the organization. Get shooters, take advantage of all the open shots on the perimeter. But it’s going to be pain until that happens
