190 currently committed to 13 guys if Cancar, Jackson and KCP options are picked up
KCP due a raise to 20 per.
Jackson will pick up 5 mil option
Do you guys think Denver can find a way off of Nnaji and Jackson so they can stay under? Next year could be last year realistic to stay under without losing a big piece
Potentially make their 2024 1st then package that player with Nnaji to a team with cap room, but seems a tough deal to pull off and not sure if even legal.

No, they’re fucked, trade everyone. Booth is bum
Looking at the free agent list there’s really not many gettable guys for teams. KCP could end up getting 3/75 or something crazy
Which would probably be too much for Denver and they’d be easily under 2nd apron
In that case having the Nnaji contract would be huge bonus as they could use it to build a package for a KCP replacement.
Nnaji Strawther and 2031 1st might be able to land them Bruce Brown or someone similar.
Could they? Yes, there would be possible moves that could make it happen. Will they? Unlikely, unless Kenny Pope walks.
As much as it pains me, I don’t see the Nuggs picking up Čančars club option after this injury
hopefully.
but in the end, it’s a billionaire’s money. if he’s dumb enough to break up a championship squad because he can’t afford it (heh), it’s his money.
If we win a chip, KCP needs to get paid, and then do another soft build around starting 5 using rookies and minimal contract guys.
Theres no guarantee that KCP is getting 20 per and If they get rid of Zeke it should be fairly easy since WOJ projected next years second apron to be $190m.
I don’t think KCP is gonna get terribly big contract tbh. It’s easy to see him deserving one, he’s been an All-NBA level defender this year, I’m just thinking it’s gonna be substantially lower than Bruce just got.
Alex Caruso got 4 years/37 million in 2021 at age 28. I think KCP is a much better player, he’s also going to be signing his contract at age 31.
Isn’t Denver always aiming for number one ?
