The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Atlanta Hawks, 106-102. Anfernee Simons led Portland with 36 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists as Deandre Ayton totaled a season-high 33 points, along with 19 rebounds. Dejounte Murray led Atlanta with 40 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists, as Clint Capela added 13 points and 14 rebounds. The Blazers improve to 19-46 as the Hawks move to 29-36.
This is the fifth game of his career where Dejounte Murray has totaled 40 or more, with it being the third time it’s come against Portland.

I don’t know what it is about this building but we always have our most frustrating losses here where one guy has an incredible night with absolutely 0 help. I hate to say this but this was one of the most sorry efforts in the clutch i have seen. This was the most hawks ending you can imagine. Specially the last play, ayton misses the free throw and there is 0 effort to go after the loose ball and portland retains and seals it. Every single year we have an utterly stupid loss in this building and here it is again. Talking earlier in the game, you led big and were controlling the game then the defense dropped up, no answer for ayton and did not do well on the glass. Offensively, outside of murray there is absolutely no one, absolutely no one that stepped up. Bogi, i really like you but some of the decisions and shots you took in the clutch were just not it. The effort in the clutch was just horrible, really don’t even know what to think, if you look at this road trip, this out of all 5 of these games was probably the least toughest opponent, and strategically you know if you want to have a successful trip you need games like this, but this man was just a horrible effort in the clutch, so many guys did not step up when they needed to tonight. Every single year man this building we do some stupid stuff in the clutch. Now off to utah friday night. #TrueToAtlanta
