  1. The more this year goes on, the more I REALLY want us to get Reed Sheppard. Idk. Risacher seems like a better prospect and if we get the number 1 pick, we should definitely get Risacher.

But part of me hopes we get the 3rd pick so we have an excuse to get Sheppard instead. I really feel like people are underrating him in this draft just because of his height and wingspan.

The Ringer mock draft came out and everyone made fun of it for the spurs taking Reed at number 1. But a super efficient point guard that can shoot extremely well, good playmaker, and is actually decent on defense for his size- all in such a weak draft. Is it really that farfetched for us to take him at number 1? Sarr doesn’t provide spacing at all and he is probably the worst type of player we can draft given our needs.

And Risacher and Williams are better prospects and are equally as efficient offensively maybe, but they don’t provide the playmaking chops that we need. But let me be clear, I do think those two are the better choices for number 1, I’m just saying I still don’t think Reed Sheppard should be a “laughable” number 1 pick in this draft though.

With all that said, would honestly love for us to snag Sheppard as our PG and Knecht as our Wing this off-season.

Is this the type of competition he normally goes up against? I’ve never seen him play.

My comp for Sheppard is White Derrick White. That alone would make us a 25 win team with no other changes lol

Devin Vassell had a highlight from high school where he followed up his missed 3 with a putback dunk as well

One of the rare instances of this guy missing. 52% from 3 with the amount he takes is absurd.

I’d be interested if anyone could explain why his defensive metrics are so good if he’s such a bad defender?

    DBPM 5.3 (8th), STL% 4.7 (10th), Block 2.7%

Chris Paul is 6’ and does have a 6’ 4” wingspan but he’s still carved himself a pretty good career. I think Reed Sheppard could make it
