Obviously, because I’m curious, I clicked to check. He did another one recently with the same old “Spurs organization gotta hurry if they wanna keep Wemby” thing, so I clicked unconvinced.

But I gotta admit that this Giannis theory, well, it ain’t too bad. Would you imagine them pairing up? It’d be… unfair?

A.M. Hoops has consistently argued that the Spurs are taking the correct, patient approach to Wemby, and has drawn comparisons to how the Cavs, Hawks, and Mavs all ruined their chances by cashing in too early.

The problem is we still don’t know what type of player Vic will be offensively. He’s a future dpoy as a mobile rim protector who might be able to shut down ball screens like no player ever has. But what is he offensively?

We still don’t know whether he is gonna be more of a play finisher like Anthony Davis, an elite rim pressure guy like Giannis, or a lanky shot creator like KD. He’ll obviously be his own guy and combine elements of all of those dudes but it’s hard to know how ball dominant he’ll be rn. His pull up 3 game is incredible rn but off the catch isn’t great and he sets pretty bad screens. I’m 100% sure he and Doncic could make it work but his skill set is pretty different from the archetype that people assume Luka works best with.

All this to say that I don’t think it’s a bad idea to wait one more season before trying to swing a big trade.
