“Sixers are TRASH!” – ESPN goes crazy 76ers fall to Bucks 114-105 despite big Tyrese Maxey night
Game live brought to you by Cure auto insurance Amy fiddle Jim Liam and Mark Jackson and and guys this one the Sixers had opportunities and we’re going to go over some of the the things that maybe didn’t work in their favor AKA Giannis traveling all up and down the court but
You’re looking for a couple of stops and unable to get those when it really mattered Jim yeah Milwaukee was able to sustain the offensive Pace really for me it’s this simple the Sixers played a terrific first half 61 points the second half 44 points they simply couldn’t keep
Up with the offense that the Bucks had yeah I mean we had some good obviously Tyrese Maxi seemed like he was back to himself which I thought was a really good sign he shot almost 50% with 30 points but some lackluster efforts offensively in the second half really
Doomed them I thought Mark you know I I thought with that being said yes I thought we got stagnant I thought we because Maxi was doing so much for a stretch I thought we got compl to think he can continue to keep that pace up you
Know also but then on the other hand you know they had some great defensive plays meaning Brook Lopez that kind of stifled the 76ers when he was starting to make some big runs yeah we’re going to take a look at those as well but let’s check in on the Eastern Conference standings by
Virtue of this win the Bucks are now in second place moving ahead of the Cavaliers by half game the Sixers moved a half game back of the Pacers as they are now in that seventh spot so they might still face each other we talked about that in the pregame show how it
Could be a possible first round playoff preview um Sixers 36 and 30 right there just a half game back you can see how bunched it up is the Knicks magic Pacers Sixers heat that’s all within three games of one another uh and that is why every single game counts now with only
16 games to go in this one but you you mentioned it you know brick Lopez when you have really good defense it leads to easy offense a lot and we did not see that from the Sixers you did see that however from the Bucks that is our Colonial Nissan Game Changer and Brook
Lopez huge huge game defensively when you’re thinking about it I mean yikes he had what seven blocks here’s two of them and they all led to uh a bunch of you know obviously run outs on the other end yeah he as we know Lopez is one of
The standout shot blockers in the sorry yeah and then but how about this play for a 7even foot plus guy he runs Trails the play after that block right there he took Uber up on the board and he makes a terrific play off penetration here he’s
Under control and as a result He’s Able I guess it’s Bobby Porter he’s going to find here what look at his play little spin dribble yeah dish off that gave the the Bucks the first lead um in the second half and then Mark you can see it once again here Lopez coming up
Huge defensively and then it’s going to lead to Giannis bucket at the other end absolutely defense creates offens right there Brook Lopez is doing a great job protecting the room and then a least to this one the other end and it’s tough you know it’s tough when you have a
Player like that that can do things you to really sty you any kind of momentum you’re trying to gain they’re going to come up and do that Brook Lopez you know for for what he is for them he is a solid player 7 for 12 tonight 19 points
He had those two blocks uh a steel several assists and he’s a complete player for them when you’re thinking about you xfactor types he’s a guy that maybe you might not think of when you watch a game like this you can see how he fects the game yeah particularly with
A guy like Giannis you know Giannis is not a great shooter he’s a tremendous Drive the ball to the basket penetrator type so for Lopez to be able to lurk out there on the perimeter when your big guy is trying to help out on Yannis in the
Lane and they find Lopez out there and you see he’s wide people sometimes they say or you hear with the announcer he’s left wide open yeah he’s left wide open because you’re trying to guard the Superstar and there aren’t many guys his size who were so capable of knocking
Down that three ball yeah you heard Kate Scott and ala abden ABI talk about it also on the broadcast some free opportunities and you don’t really need to give the bucks with Giannis Anin Copo and Damen Lillard free opportunities but you when you’re looking at the free throw disparity 24 free throw attempts
For the 14 for the Sixers does that uh does that do anything for you Mark Jackson just let you know sign of aggression yeah what team might have been a little bit more aggressive than the other or the cause might have been going that way and as you know as human
Beings that can happen uh you know with that being said but you got to get they can’t find you anymore there you go they can’t find me yes so now I’m J with that being said you know I I just really think the six kind of fell short
The last 6 minutes when we searching for things and kind kind of fruition we trying to find the right Mark for us and it didn’t come through yeah to be honest Maxi I thought uh probably could have shot a few more free throws you know I think people he’s he’s just not getting
The calls yet and you wonder why um but we’re talking about these free opportunities jannis anonim Koo with the travel of all travels and I know they say you can walk in the NBA this is not just a walk this is this is a Sprint no
You’re not allowed to do that he moved like five steps he moved his pivot foot twice after he penetrates into the lane this is just watch watch the number of players six or players that call walk watch look it right there you see it it’s like a dance co yeah it’s like a
Chorus yeah and when you see that as as a referee even if you didn’t see the play you ready just blow your whistle and call something cuz guys don’t react like that unless they in fact know what they did Bobby Jackson knows yeah every single not only did it count the bucket
That was obviously illegal but they also gave him a foul so it was a three-point play that should have been erased so when you’re trying to climb back in games things like that are going to I’m sure Nick nurse is going to be asked about things like that are going to
Stick in your craw it is but it it’s the Sixers unit has to be ticked off at that call because the reason why Amy that was like the fifth or sixth travel that he got away with so after a while as a player like what else can we
Do if you’re not going to call any of them and now it gets even more regious that now he’s blatant not say blatant but like it looks like like why I’m just going to keep traveling they’re not calling nothing so it just we on you so that was that wasn’t just that he
Traveled there that was actually at least the fourth or fifth one that he did this game and the Sixers list do their hands up what can we do yeah at some point obviously you know you want to try to get the breaks to go your way
But when it’s things like that yeah it a little frustrating as I’m sure Nick nurse is feeling that let’s check in with him yeah so I mean again I think that the um effort was really good I think the um obviously I think you could schematically defensively we were doing
A lot of things we wanted to do uh especially the first half we had them we we turned them over a bunch in the first half probably the difference in the game we didn’t quite get to as many turnovers in the second although there probably
Should have been a few more we had a couple of well couple of things and then we had a couple jar loose that we didn’t quite recover and things like that but um yeah I thought we I thought we did a lot of really good things
Yep tyres when when you came back and after like the 8 Minute Mark the fourth quarter did you see them change defensively anything that they were just looked like they were really yeah I mean listen I think Lopez plays a lot of drop but he was certainly up a
Lot more he was he was it wasn’t quite a a full out Blitz but he was kind of too too on the ball for a while and um you know I think you know look at back to your question a couple things like we were kind of ready for
Some of that stuff I don’t think we executed some of that stuff off the off the Tyrese blitzes as good as we we needed to um we did a little bit late we started getting it to Mo and Swinging it to the second side and getting getting a
Pretty good shot after that but we we had a couple of those we yeah we probably could have probably could have got ourselves a little better looks and then and then listen I think that that um we did a lot of lot of the right things and made them take the shots we
Wanted to take and they got on a little hot streak and then at the other end we were still getting simar shots we had maybe three or three straight wide open Catch and shoot Corner threes and we didn’t we you know you got to make them if you’re going to if they’re making
Them and you want to keep kind of level with them um um you know it’s just kind of make make Miss type of situation so I still thought we were executing some getting some pretty good shots there we had a couple of tough possessions but
But not too bad was it good to see going there l y yeah it was cuz he CU it didn’t feel like he was again um not getting many opportunities no no great looks but he took it with some assertiveness and and um was turning the
Corner and he had Giannis on him to boot so he was getting it to some good places and vaulting up and knocking him down was good great to see y kind of second quarter Earth from Camp y just what kind of unlocked for him to get free for for
Those shots well again I think that um you know we got some guy we were trying to get at some certain matchups and we were getting getting under control and getting to those um I thought we did a decent job of making the extra pass when
When we got you know bottled up a little bit we did some good job he did a good job of relocating on a couple things we ran a couple plays um for for Buddy and and ended up you know they overplayed that and end up cam getting the
Recipient off of you know kind of the counter on that so um and he and he just you know I thought he played assertedly even made you know some tough driving plays too he played really good that’s that was a tough one because you know I was you know we’re certainly thinking
About keeping him in there longer or getting him back in there and and it was just a little bit of a size uh situation there um defensively but looking back on it he you know he’s really good there in his 12 minutes yep the stats won feels
Like KJ did a really good job on the defensive end just what do you make of him so so far so far that yeah so he’s he’s done a good job twice now um with Yannis and he just uses his strength and stands in there on him you know he
Starts driving he stands him up you know right there with with some good defense and and and power and stuff so he I thought he was very effective we we got in a situation we were kind of mat trying to match him in the first half
With him because he was doing such a good job yeah thanks guys all right thanks everybody than so a little bit of frustration you heard from coach nurse there rightfully so but he did like some good things there are some positives that take away Tyrese Maxi a nice
Bounceback game after you know he had maybe a little bit of rust he had to shake off uh when he faced the Knicks on Tuesday after missing four Tobias Harris better second half than first half Jim overall if you had to take away something positive from this game what
Would it be uh yeah I thought Maxi uh he was a lot more hoop to his step I think he wore down a bit him in the fourth quarter uh I don’t know that he had a field goal I think it was 0 for four 0
For five in the fourth quarter and I think you heard coach nurse say it they started they didn’t quite Blitz them meaning trap them on pick and rolls but Lopez when he was involved he jumped out there pretty big they weren’t going to let him get those open looks that he had
In the third period cuz I thought he was Sensational in the third period yes he was uh so we’re going to take a quick timeout here on Sixers postgame live brought to you by kyado Insurance we’re going to take a closer look at Tyrese Maxi’s night including a little uh Damen
Lillard and Tyrese Maxi little Tay to Tay little little meeting of the minds there stick with the Sixers post game live brought to you by C A Insurance Sixers Post foree for foree Spee fore for foreign foree spee Foree speee fore speee spee Fore Foree fore Spee fore spee spee for fore

Yes they are garbage
I know it’s obvious to everyone who follows the Sixers that this collapse is gonna have them fall out of the playoffs altogether. They just don’t have the firepower to sustain the time without Embiid. I know Harris had some late game baskets but a modest 10 out of him in the first half would have been nice. His shortcomings are killing any chance for this team to tread water. Start Lowry @ PG, Maxey, Reed, Oubre and Payne. Stay with it. Don’t change it. Fingers crossed.
WHAT DOES EVERY BODY EXPECT THE 76ers to do without THERE BIG guy in the middle you take the main guy off of any team in the NBA and this is what you GET TAKE the joker of the nuggets and tell me what would they do ???
Well philly should learn how to travel
Philly when you come to Milwaukee you looking at CHAMP
