The Houston Rockets win their fifth straight game as they defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers, 117-103. All five Houston starters were in double-figures as Jalen Green (26 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists) and Jabari Smith Jr. (20 points, 7 rebounds) totaled 46 points and Fred VanVleet added 13 points and 15 assists. Caris LeVert led the Cavaliers with 21 points and 7 assists. The Rockets move to 32-35 as the Cavs go to 42-25.
Houston is scoring 118.0 PPG while allowing 106.8 PPG during their five game streak.

Houston did a great job of guarding Mitchell and Garland. They managed to hold them to 12 and 13pts respectively and that to me was the difference in the game, because Garland and Mitchell are the engine that makes this Cavs team go and when they're not shooting well, the rest of the team struggles.

Cleveland has got to get into the mentality that just because they are facing a lower-tier team does not mean to slack off. Almost every lower tier team we have faced so far has smacked the piss out of us. They are in more desperation mode then the top contenders right now play each game as if it was their last season.

As a Rockets fan, without Alperen, Tari Eason, or Cam Whitmore, no way I thought we were gonna win against the 3rd Seed in the East, with Darius Garland, Donovan Mitchell and Jarrett Allen. But the role players stepped up tonight, everyone played solid, and I was pleasantly surprised! 🚀
