Full quote below is better, but of course wouldn’t fit so had to trim quite a bit of it out.
> It’s great. I always enjoy that time of year where you’re not getting the ticky tacky fouls and you got to play through some contact.
>
> Because we’re a team that don’t sell calls. You can’t get Steph to sell a call if his life depended on it. Klay’s not going to sell a call. So, we’re a team that naturally plays through that. We’ve always said, you don’t want to learn & practice flopping because all of a sudden you get to the playoffs & you’re doing what you’ve been practicing, they don’t call it and those are turnovers. And we feasted on teams that did that over the years. So we don’t want to be that team.
>
> We take pride in playing through the contact and just getting the job done. So, I think it’s great for us.

Ethical hoops!
calling out 90% of the NBA
Pretty interesting perspective tbh
Honestly what I was thinking when they were talking about the officials calling less fouls. I thought this is just leveling the league for the BS Steph deals with all season.
This should put us in more of an advantage and is probably why when we are in the playoffs we play better. We don’t live at the foul line like other teams tend to.
Steph is averaging 1.8 free throws made on 2.2 free throws attempted per game in March. After starting the first month of the season averaging like 6.8 free throw attempts a game, I really naively believed the league was gonna work with Steph given his age. His free throw attempts have fallen off a cliff so hard this season that his CAREER AVERAGE of free throws made/attempted has gone down. Bum ass league.
Yeah let’s do this reverse psychology instead. Calling out refs just makes them hate us, let’s just praise our ethical buckets lol
This is one of the reason how dubs comfortably win against celtics. Jays and Smart was too preoccupied with not getting every call while dubs already got used to the lack of foul call, especially after playing against memphis.
100% facts
lol kuminga, our 2nd scorer lives off the and 1
True dat!
Talk to em Dray!
One of Klay’s 3’s he got tapped on the face coming down, didn’t even flinch. I’m wondering who on the Lakers would NOT act like they got shot in the head if that happened to them.
