Refereeing is a BIG problem – Stephen A. goes crazy Lakers lose painfully to Warriors; LeBron 40 Pts

To win this game and alas the Golden State Warriors they walk out with the 128 121 win now they’re tied for ninth but technically technically the Golden State Warriors are just percentage points ahead now for that ninth seed Stephen A Smith what did you see in this

One well I saw Klay Thompson show up in the first half and remind us of what he can do what he’s capable of doing and obviously that changes the complexion of what you think about when you think about the Golden State Warriors I saw Steph Curry come return from a

Three-game absence and looks like he didn’t lose anything at all just took a quarter to get going and and after that was completely dominant and I saw a Los Angeles Lakers team that still can’t seem to play defense they haven’t been able to play defense since the All-Star

Break it’s like they left their game in Indianapolis for crying out loud defensively like 28th defensively so you’re not going to go anywhere unless they improve defensively spoke to uh Roa Linka before the game he was talking about they’re hopeful that they could have Jared Vanderbilt back in a few

Weeks and that would change things but they clearly need them because they don’t they can’t seem to stop a cold we’re going to need to stop the segment down and restart because the shot clock didn’t actually start at the beginning of this segment Bob How concerned are

You with what you saw from from the Lakers here what did you walk away with um yeah I’m just collecting my that the shot clock thing does kind of mess up a little yeah yeah we were waiting here you know 80 went out and that changed

The complexion of the game really and I mean he was doing a pretty good job the Warriors always have trouble with him and rightly so a lot of teams have trouble with Anthony Davis but look Vanderbilt coming back like Stephen A said would be huge for their defense the

Lakers have scored well lately last month they’ve been doing a good job scoring they scored well tonight but um you know it’s I just can’t seeing these two teams play and imagining a nine versus 10 and one of them’s going home we’re going to get that you know we

Probably it looks like on a a crash that’s where it’s headed cuz this game probably made that even more likely I suppose I mean cuz the Lakers are hanging around 91 it’s just I can’t believe it I I can’t that one game would set some sort of viewing record on the

Other hand you lose Hall of Famer plural if you have that game yeah they don’t have it I do too because you want to see those players play Beyond one game but do you see a path out of the 910 for for these teams no not for not for these two teams but

I’d like to say this yeah you know Steph Curry LeBron James you want to see him no doubt about it but some of these young thorough breads that we’re going to see in the playoffs to Anthony Edwards of the world the Shay guilis Alexanders of the world and then you add

The Lucas the Kyrie and I mean wait a minute now dearon Fox and and and Sacramento and what have you just look at some of this young Talent we going to have real interesting playoffs he going to be excited without Steph Curry well the league is going to have how to cope

With this Stephen they’re going to have to learn they’re going to have to move on reluctantly cuz we don’t want to move on I don’t want to move on we’re we’re already at the point where we’re I’m okay with moving on I just want to see

Them in the one more more play not a play in I’d like they can lose in the first round you you you want your first one from the media standpoint at least at least getting able to watch these two want see what we’ve seen that’s going to do it for us sport Michael

Francis Brenan let’s go back downtown D’Angelo and Austin are speaking with the media hey guys um obviously a unique situation at the end of the game there I’m guessing well none of us have ever seen anything like that but how how challenging is that when there’s 15

Minutes or whatever it is at the end of a game um just to try to stay focused and try to you know get back in a rhythm after all that time off uh I mean it’s tough but I mean at the end of the day the ref’s got to you know

Get it right I mean I know it’s not them uh but they can’t just let it go on with the shot clock being messed up or whatever so I think they did a good job it’s just an unfortunate situation um kind of just out there standing around that’s really

It guys how did they do look to you when you saw him at halftime was the eye did it completely close almost like a boxer uh what did you see I haven’t seen him did um obviously you guys miss his presence defensively a ton but um the

Way that you guys were guarding them so aggressively at the three-point line how much did it hurt you guys not having him kind of back at the rim and that’s typically like you’re so used to kind of funneling guys his Direction yeah I mean uh anytime you

Lose ad on the defensive end offensive end uh regardless of what it is um you know it’s tough but you know I thought Jack stepped up and played you know a really good game um but like I said anytime you you lose ad on you know both

Ends of the floor it’s tough but um we got to figure out ways to be better and win games when he doesn’t play DLo you guys came to this week with a game against a team just above you in the standings and a game against a team

Just below you in the standings didn’t win either of them does uh what does that do to kind of the momentum you guys had been building and what is it going to take to get back in the right direction um it’s going to take everything to to scrape out some wins at

This time of the year they all matter um not really familiar with the standings but I just think that that’s a it’s just the the the momentum at this time of the year every game matters um standings all that matters so for both of you guys there was a

Couple minutes left in the second quarter at that point you guys were shooting over 60% it fell off in the third quarter how much of that was with because of AD being out and being part of the flow or was it something different I think it has a lot to do

With that you know um we’re not accustomed to playing without him he’s played almost every game this year right so that’s something that is unfamiliar for us um but it’s no excuse Jackson played his ass off everybody else that came in you know stepped up to the plate

But that’s a tough team well coach team so it’s not going to be easy did it did it take the for lack of better word wind out of your sales emotion when they overturn LeBron’s three because it was such an improbable three it felt like okay we’re turning making a turn uh I

Mean the the game goes from a four-point game to a seven point game in the matter of I mean it’s kind of like twist back time um but you lose the time um so yeah I mean I didn’t understand the the ruling on it or whatever it was but uh yeah I

Mean anytime that you know something like that happens it’s it sucks you want to score points question uh Austin just mentioned it but it went from seven-point game to a four-point game Dow with all those stoppages late in the game the first question was kind

Of about this but how much did it kind of kill the momentum because the crowd was really into it as well at that point but after all the whistles it kind of felt like the energy died down did you feel that yeah I just seems a little

Unfair so I’d rather not really go in on that I don’t want to get fined thanks time for a little access 360 big game what are you breaking down uh some some B hold on we got to call Su cockus one more time make sure

Is it okay if we run this uh we have enough time okay yeah we can we can do yeah this is about uh they say it’s okay in uh New suus New Jersey is it’s okay we can do it it’s about some really how

Critical it is is to have ad in the game we don’t have Dwight Howard we don’t have Woods is not there you know you know and we don’t have that backup center and as soon as ad goes out whether it’s foul trouble or whether it’s an injury or whether he just goes

Out of the game for a couple of minutes you notice immediately the teams start to run their plays to go inside so that was such a good breakdown sakas is going to want you to join their staff well I’m just glad that they you know allowed me

To do it in in you know uninterrupted I thought you were going to do a breakdown of the delay that that that killed the momentum it really did that in the three ball were it LeBron said he shoots on his tippy toes he does not

Shoot on the back of his heels uh having said that great breakdown big game 62 points in the paint uh for the Golden State Warriors in case you’re just joining us Anthony Davis played all 12 minutes in the first quarter having given up just four points to the

Warriors inside did not return dealt with an eye contusion with 3 minutes to go took this shot to the face for the team his eye ended up swelling up they’re 10th in the East the six years they you know the Lakers are one of the the easiest schedules now the rest of

The way um still a decent amount of home games and that road trip which might have looked a little tough ear earlier in the year suddenly you start in Milwaukee obviously that’s no treat James but they could make up some ground it’s just you know the problem is just

Just over the last week or two they’ll they’ll beat Oklahoma City and then they lose to Sacramento yeah and then they beat Milwaukee and Minnesota and then they lose to Sacramento and today against Golden State so it really is one game forward one game back for this team

They they need to put together a streak if they want to get back ahead of Golden State in the standings again the return of Anthony Davis still yet to be determined more to come on access Jack for fore e relax you could totally trust me First Blood CH change double

Kill triple kill I de shut down an enemy has been defeated failure the of magic you have been defeated an ally has been defeated your tower has been destroyed out an ally has been defeated No Escape an enemy has been defeated penny for your thoughts an ally has been

  1. My thing is, Where was Harry Giles thru this whole ordeal. Like yahll paid for him. And 2, Its amazing how teams stay gettin injured by the warriors, ala James Harden. Yet, I have yet to see Draymond or Steph get injured by any other team. And why are they always eye injuries to key players. Warriorsssssss, come out and Cheeeeaaaaattttttttt!!!!!

  2. Malika didn't have 2b a Kobe hater..or resurface peoples past this isn't an episode of 20/20 she hates males more than your typical mysoginist

  3. Nothing is going to change with Vanderbilt coming back. The Lakers are ass and they aren't winning another championship until they get rid of no defense playing LeFlop.
