DUNCAN ROBINSON Is OWNING The NBA Right Now!
Duncan Robinson is playing the best basketball of his NBA career right now and you have to account for him 247 he’s a weapon anywhere on the court he’s one of the most annoying players to guard in the NBA right now for that reason just look at his performance today he carried
Them in that Victory so 12 seconds on the shot clock initial defense from the Pistons was great look at how far he has the center defending him durren ain’t used to guarding this far from the basket he’s deathly afraid of the blow by Drive as Duncan is jabbing pivoting
Durren steps back now Duncan knows it’s time to fire away from Deep Duncan takes him backing up as disrespect any airspace given his disrespect in his eyes and now he hits it and he’s feeling it couple possessions later Duran clearly learned his lesson screen from bam no communication from Stuart and
Duran both well beyond the three-point line guarding Duncan pass to Bam now it’s a 4on three situation for the heat because of the shooting gravity of Duncan yo Duncan can you be a screener he happily looks at spoler and says yes sir I’ll do whatever fonio then overcommits on Rosier Ivy doesn’t switch
You can’t have those hiccups against him because he will make you pay from Deep he’s a coach’s dream because having a guy like Duncan you can do so much with him another reason I say that is because he’s always running off screens he’s effective doing so and he’s willing as
Well 247 seven and the defense is so petrified of him I mean look at Cade he doesn’t give a flying fluff about anything else going on in the offense so having that next to Jimmy and Bam is a huge Advantage for you and this is the new addition to his game this season
More consistently incorporating the dribble Drive seeing the floater more and more from him and another thing to keep in mind that I think people don’t really mention about him is he’s 68 long arms High release as well in the natural flow of the game in transition he gets a
Six to Marcus Sasser on him so even though he’s contesting he’s out on the perimeter Duncan is not feeling that whatsoever keep in mind earlier in the game he shot over 610 Jaylen Duren he also has the Steph Curry trait of never standing still it makes him feel
Uncomfortable as you can see here he drives and then he passes then he floats to the corner he’s not done yet ghost screen where he’s just running full speed to the top of the key that creates space for a potential Rosier Drive Right Stewart has to account for that at least
A little but doing so gives Duncan separation and now he’s screwed Catch Fire release in 2 seconds the defense can’t recover and also on top of that the icing on the cake he’s well beyond the three-point line unlimited range it makes that close out near impossible you
Just got to hope he misses the fourth quarter he just took over and it started with his playmaking ability 99 90 he runs off a screen catches goes into the Twan game now right here this is a little Nuance he has adapted to his game he’s just a smarter player overall he
Wasn’t doing this two years ago it’s very very underrated very small but notice the path he takes with the ball creates a larger passing Lane notice the couple steps Duren takes to help out potentially that results in a pocket pass being easier and also bam catching
With more an edge more space and an advantage on Duren and that’s all he needs to get to the basket next possession he showcases that he has that gut punch potential 5 seconds on the shot clock fonio leaves him for whatever reason opens up a pass to him he catches
In the coffin corner no breathing room terrible spot to be on the court at this time of the shot clock but notice how quick he gets to his shooting pocket once he catches insane fundamentals contested somehow someway he buries it still like it’s nothing a crucial clutch shot he is
A tough shot maker and he doesn’t feel pressure it seems he was really the go-to guy in the fourth quarter he felt unguardable they space out the floor for him in the corner he takes for off the dribble and he has the ability to recognize his cutting teammate while
Wrapping around his Defender delivering the pass with his weak hand come on now and then a couple possessions later catch off a screen another screen s side step Duren is there but he’s really not there because he’s worried about the pass to Bam so he just fires the three
With no regard and of course he hits it Duncan Robinson is a headache for opposing coaches to game plan for I truly feel bad

That contract he got is not worth it 😮
i mean if we're all being completely honest, that contract he got last offseason was so not worth it
Divincenzo is better.Shoots just as good and plays defense.
Dudes got all the confidence in the world rn!
Im a heat fan. But chill boi, its the pistons
this dudes nasty, hope it carries into the playoffs
OG 2Sam merrill. Hes upped skilled
Y'all are worrying too much about his contract. What he got was the going rate for shooters like him at the time. And the Heat secured themselves by making Duncan earn every penny of it coz his contract is incentive-based. So, he will not get the full amount if he doesn't achieve the goals for those incentives.
Contract looks like a steal ngl.
One other thing that you didn't mention is that he has also upped his Defensive game. Am I saying hes good on D, no not at all. But he used to be a total liability, now he's just a lil below average on D.
They don't defend him like an all star cause they take him for granted
I am not gonna lie: I was pissed at him last year and saw him as a waste but the man has stepped the hell up and deserves all the praises in the world. 6th man of the year wouldn't hurt either but I think he's starting. Love the Heat for this!!!
I am so happy for him. Guys forget he was a starter with the team on a less than 1 million annual salary. Then, he earned his new contract during the covid playoffs. So happy for him he fought hard to be back. The dude wasn't even a Div II player on a scholarship after high school.
