In the third quarter to build that lead IO was doing everything yeah in that third quarter he was he was flying all over the floor playing defense he was initiating transition opportunities as an outlet passer as a guy leading the break in transition and then dishing or

When they needed him to do you credit this what you’re seeing from IO more so to the skill that he kind of is developing into or are you giving more credit to the confidence like was that skill already there and he just needed the confidence to bring it out I mean
It’s a good question I think that’s it’s all probably tied together a little bit I think opportunity is another big one like I mean you’re missing Kobe you’re missing Zach you’re missing Patrick a lot of guys that have the ball in their hands a lot are now out of the rotation

30-point game 10 assist game tonight so just really um you know there there’s there’s always going to be challenges that guys like struggle with uh reaching another hurdle in their progression or you know testing their abilities in some way and I feel like the fact that you
Know both IO and Billy and I wrote this after last game kind of talked about how they were a little bit disappointed with the way that he played against the Clippers when they really needed somebody to generate some offense for them and to come back and and bounce
Back with multiple 30-point games is just like a testament one to his growth and his ability to his just natural ability to do that but too I think the confidence you’re talking about the opportunity now he’s ready to make the most of it and and the Bulls need it
Like they really need that right now so otherwise it’s just like feeding V and Drummond in the post or it’s relying so heavily on dear even though he’s already playing 41 minutes like they another guy to create that advantage and I was really stepping up will I’m guessing

18-year-old that you know came straight from high school or like you know played half a season for for some college team and then started doing draft workouts and and never really played I mean he’s been playing real basketball for quite some time he’s little bit older I think
He’s 23 years old um as opposed to some of these really teenager you know young type of rookies um and so he’s got some experience I think the skill set is really useful to this team as we’ve talked about for years now like they really need three-point shooting they
Really need floor spacing and they need people that are willing to hunt those shots and get them up he’s willing to do that and I think he just kind of understands where to be for the most part like his positional defensive uh awareness is really good for somebody
That’s played like 12 games in their NBA career so I think he’s just been really solid and I think he’s got a lot of room to grow couple of moments here and there where you’re you know looking for a smarter play or a better shot or
Whatever it may be but that’s like the case with every player in the league so um I like what I’ve seen from him I think Billy’s liked it too enough to keep him in the rotation um but being a 6667 wing who can be in the right spots
Defensively and really shoot the ball doesn’t hurt either uh will anything else you can tell us uh about Alex Caruso’s brief exit and then return we saw him hobble off to the locker room within the first minute of this game he did come back uh and and come back in
And play and then ended up playing over 30 minutes was it the toe that had him on the injury report uh leading up to tonight’s game it looked like maybe it was not a toe but an ankle what can you tell us about Caruso and his status moving
