Very thankful for bam uh turn the ball over there at the end uh which you know I’ll be kicking myself over regardless but for him to come and hit that shot I mean that was that was huge we battled that game had a lead gave it up uh but

Just you know resolved just showed resolve down the stretch and thank goodness for B yeah talk talk us through that last that last play that last possession there Duncan and and what transpired uh just kind of like a semi- transition didn’t know if we were going

To call timeout or what wasn’t sure time and score but uh yeah just SP didn’t call the timeout thank goodness he didn’t uh thank goodness for bam D Duncan listen we’re going to talk about the team in second I want to just talk to you about your individual

Accomplishment today uh there’s been a lot of great players that have shot the three ball in the league nobody’s gotten to a 1003s faster than you what does that particular mark mean to Duncan Robinson it means a lot man you know I’ve had a a circuitous route to get to

Where I am it wouldn’t change any of it for anything uh the adversity uh basketball adversity I like to call it you know highs and lows at every single level you know finding a way to just stay somewhere in between and just keep the work the priority and just be ready

For moments when uh when my number’s called so uh I’m grateful for it particularly grateful that we got it in a win so I can actually enjoy it um but man this was this was a fun one excited to do it again tomorrow incredible 30o game for Duncan John 10 of 15 shooting

Went seven of 12 from three well look the the thing that I’d love to ask you about again is adversity because that’s what Sport’s about but Duncan you faced it coming into the league uh during the course of your career with the heat what is it how how do you overcome adversity

And and you know when things aren’t going your way shooting the basketball or you’re not maybe getting the shots or the minutes at times that you want how have you handled that throughout the course of your career you know just try to stay even kill with it I’m I’m very

Grateful I got a lot of people in my corner you know close family friends uh that have just always been in my corner and through those times uh you know really really just help me through them um because it’s not easy you know and I

I try to keep it in perspective also uh you know at the end of the day this is the greatest job in the world or at least I think so so try to be uh grateful um for every opportunity that comes and you know the best way to show

Gratitude is is putting in work and taking advantage of opportunities when they come around so I’m thankful for this organization man I mean this they’ve uh they’ve rode with me through highs and lows um and I’m just thankful for that because I know a lot of places especially in this profession uh don’t

Always function like that Duncan heat Nation happy to have enjoyed every one of those threes right along with you before we let you into the winners locker room big game tomorrow night you just moved into seventh place in the East you got the same record as the team

You’ll be playing tomorrow night in Philadelphia looking forward to that one I’m sure oh yeah uh we’re going to get some some rest some ice some sleep and do it again tomorrow sounds good to us dun Rob number 55 with a 30-point game in this one tonight his highest scoring

Game of his six season a storybook career for that man out of Michigan let’s start with the cliche question of that’s how you drew it up uh um no but there’s a Karma to it um you know sometimes in in this uh game um bam was just outstanding for us you know

Especially defensively all the things he was doing and on the glass um and creating a lot of different triggers you know for us um you know uh Duncan ended up being a beneficiary of a lot of his screens or handoffs or um Mr directions um and then you know that that final stop

Uh you know of course that’s that age-old question do you take a time out or not um I saw the ball go into Terry’s hands so I thought he was going to be able to race it up the court and um you know those are kind of like freebies um

Whatever we’re going to diagram if we had to like try to work it for the last shot I don’t think it would have been as open you know as this one was I anticipating it would be a bam Trail three no uh I thought Terry was able was

Going to be able to get Coast to Coast or get to one of his step backs um hopefully without any time uh left um when it’s tied you know that that’s a a safer play um but again sometimes there’s a Karma to it and um you know the ball just happens to

Find you know the guy who’s doing the most things defensively you know the most things that that are keeping our our team connected and um you know to be in a position to win on the road like this and it was great to see him knock

That one down I look I I’ve seen our Centers do three-point shooting contests you know all the time they end every practice and every shoot round with that um and Bam you know for the last whatever they’re going to debate this but the ones that I’ve seen you know

He’s won um the last few um and he’s really been working on that and uh we’re just glad to get this this w how much good stuff was happening whenever Duncan was involved in an action tonight yeah for sure uh you know he came out super aggressive behind the three-point line and then

That opened up a lot of different things you know from there once he knocked down a few then we were able to to run offense through him uh and then you know play off of some of their aggressive coverages you know trying to get him off the

Line uh and that’s a big part of our our menu you know and you take out Jimmy you don’t have Tyler you know you have to uh be able to to maximize your next best you know actions whatever they may be bam is always going to be involved one

Way or another whether it’s in the post at the elbow at the top of the floor but Duncan has evolved you know and grown so much as as a player um he basically hit every aspect uh of the game offensively um the threes the catch and shoot threes

The spot up threes the the catch and goes the curl Cuts uh the passes you know from aggressive coverages that was one of the biggest plays of the game was the pocket pass to Bam for a dunk uh when they were making their run um but

You know Duncan you know just works at it tirelessly he’s really improved with his entire skill set again being so short-handed needing something from other guys um D not since February 29th comes in defends um Thomas comes in gives you the energy just your thought of of the we have enough Mantra yeah

Those guys were so important uh and here’s what the average you know uh spectator may not understand is they’re only looking at shots made points scored uh but dlan and H uh and Thomas were in there in that second quarter when we really made a run and they were flying around defensively

I mean it was it was disruptive I mean that was uh like um the old um Richardson Arkansas teams of of pressing full court you know 40 minutes of hell those guys were really activating our defense and and that created some Karma and and created uh an energy shift in

The game and U that’s the point of this you can impact you know winning and impact your unit in so many different ways uh if we if those guys didn’t have the contributions that they had you know we’re not winning this game uh on the

Road um and that’s part of the depth and and the versatility that uh we’ve talked about for a long time it’s it’s in moments like this um where guys are out and other guys have been able to to step up and really contribute to a win that’s that’s the most important

Thing all right thank you through the final possession if you could how you start setting up from your trailing position uh I mean clock one and now Terry me the ball it’s been my spot lately and shot it and made it what did it feel like

What was the emotion like to hit that game under had I think one more gamewinner in your career but it wasn’t a three what was it like that game winning three uh I mean it’s one of those moments uh great moment for us as a team you know it’s hard trying to be

The team back to back and uh you know that’s the that’s that’s the prep that we need for for the playoffs you know having games where you got to beat a team twice and and three days four days and uh we did that what was the emotion of the moment

Like I mean no offense I don’t recall specific something like that did did I miss something along the way or a game winner just like that just getting mobbed at the end what was that like oh man that’s just that’s just great team camaraderie you know it just

Shows how connected we are how Bing we are and how how bad we we need wins um you know it’s a great moment for all of us and you know now it’s on to the next how much was getting the ball in Duncan’s hand kind of getting things going for you guys offensively

Throughout the throughout the night one I was trying to get him to break his record uh I wanted I wanted him to get the Thousand so he did that tonight Terry had a great birthday St Patty’s Day we all had some good luck tonight you got ask Caleb could have started

Today instead coacho but age kept him on the bench the energy of the second unit and what you’ve seen from that even Thomas and what he’s delivered lately it seems like there’s a real Energizer group that gets out there yeah I mean just keeping that group together letting

Them connect letting them adapt to each other and letting them trust one another I feel like that was the biggest decision um and from there you know they made plays down the stretch they impacted winning thank you
