It’s honestly not a fair comparison. Paolo and Franz are the two primaries here. That 18-19 Celtics season was a clusterfuck, with Kyrie, Hayward, Rozier, Horford, Morris all trying to prove something and taking shots. Tatum and Brown were stymied. If you want to compare, compare this Orlando season with the following Celtics season 19-20. That’s when JT and JB became the two primary options, with Kemba being a big factor too. That’s the year JT made his first all star game, very similar to Paolo. Brown emerged as a legit #2, similar to Franz. Smart emerged as the defensive leader and “heart and soul”, just like Suggs. They went on to the ECF in the Covid bubble. I hope we get there too.
