Mitchell Robinson Makes SHOCKING Comments About Return… | Knicks News

The Knicks are still dealing with injuries even though OG an anobi made his return we’re still waiting on Mitchell Robinson and Julius Randle to do the same and one question that always comes up from Nick fans especially regarding Mitchell Robinson is will he start or come off of the bench when he

Returns and the main reason that question comes up is because of the strong play of Isaiah hartenstein and recently Mitchell Robinson took the social media and he made some shocking comments regarding his return we’re going to break down exactly what he said and so much more today if you’re not

Already subscribed to the channel go ahead and hit that subscribe button now and make sure you have notifications turned on so you don’t miss a second of the new content and now let’s get started Mitchell Robinson wants to come off of the bench for the New York Knicks

If you’re shocked right now join the club so am I because once I read this from Mitchell Robinson when he made a comment on an Instagram post I was a little bit floored I can’t lie because when you’re a starting center in this league you don’t want to come back and

Come off the bench you want to come back and you want to start I don’t know if he’s been watching Nick games seeing what the fans have been saying what the coaching staff has been saying what his skill set is I’m not sure but recently

He took to social media and he made a comment on the following post shout out to the account on Instagram called Nick’s movement for posting the following he stay this is the lineup we’re all looking forward to seeing and he posted the image of Jaylen Brunson Dante D venzo OG

An anobi Julius Randall and of course Mitchell Robinson Mitchell Robinson saw this post and he made the following comment you can see it there in the red box according to Mitchell Robinson I’ll rather come off of the bench maybe I can show more I don’t know about you guys

But for me this was a shocking comment and statement made by Mitchell Robinson again you’re a starting center when you come back you want to start you don’t want to come off the bench however if you look at what he said the way he ended that line maybe I can show more

That’s always been the issue for Mitchell Robinson he’s complained about it he’s made comments about it in the past he’s spoken to the media about it he does not like the way he’s utilized on offense when he’s playing with those four other guys in the starting unit

Because he feels like he doesn’t get to show his offensive game enough he doesn’t get to show his offensive bag enough and because of that he complains he talks about it and he gets frustrated about it he doesn’t like it he often makes a lot of social media posts that

Are very cryptic about the fact that he wants to be played more and a little bit better on offense and he doesn’t think the Nick staff sometimes do that and he understands it to some degree because he understands for this Knicks team his role is to be the defensive stopper that

Defensive monster the rebounding machine that he has been for the Knicks when healthy his offensive rebounding numbers are off of the charts when healthy and when he was playing with the Knicks he was leading the league in offensive rebounding percentage that is saying something given all of the big men who

Are playing in the NBA right now and their role in what they’re doing Mitchell Robinson leading the charge there is important it also showcases Tom thibo style basketball in Tom thibo style of basketball he likes his centers to get put back dunks get a lot of rebounds Second Chance opportunities

Throw that ball around make sure when catch the rebound that you’re spraying the ball out and you’re passing the ball to other players who are more open than you are to get a better shot so that way the Knicks can convert and get those points that’s exactly what Tom thibo

Likes to do Tom thibo doesn’t like his centers and often doesn’t play centers that score a lot usually his centers pass they block they get rebounds they do all of those things but they don’t score usually he has other players scoring maybe his point guard maybe his power forward maybe these other players

But normally the center is not needed for that and when Mitchell Robinson makes the comment that maybe he can show more coming off the bench that’s probably what he means by that he can probably show more not only on offense but also on defense and he probably sees

What Isaiah hartenstein is doing right now for the starting unit and his presence and what he means for that starting unit the fact that he opens up the floor a little bit more his passing is Sensational he helps find other players and Mitchell Robinson his defense Isaiah hartenstein cannot hold a

Candle to that and that’s not a knock against Isaiah Isaiah is very good for what he does for this Knicks team he does a lot of things a little bit better than Mitchell Robinson but defensively that fear you give the opposing team Mitchell Robinson does that in Spades

There’s a difference when a player goes against Mitchell Robinson and they’re going against Isaiah hartenstein and I’m not saying they shouldn’t respect both of them they should respect both of them because hartenstein he can block shots with some of the best of them but Mitchell Robinson his size his length

The way he blocks shots get rebounds his strength is on a different level he makes the Knicks a different defensive team when he’s out there just like OG an and Obi did as well too when OG’s on the floor the Knicks look different defensively just like that when Mitchell

Robinson’s on that floor for the New York Knicks they look extremely different defensively way better defensively and that’s saying something given how good Isaiah hartstein has looked for the New York Knicks not only on offense but also on defense especially when he’s playing he’s also dealing with his own inj a sore achilles

So he’s still working his way and trying to come back from that and I know he will especially for the playoffs Mitchell Robinson will too but if you’re asking me regarding who should start I’ve said it a number of times and I’ll still say it it should be based off of

Matchup most times you’re probably going to want to start Isaiah hartenstein just because the matchup is going to favor him but sometimes like maybe when you’re playing the Cleveland Cavaliers I think it would make more sense in that series to start Mitchell Robinson over Isaiah part Stein because I think Mitch has a

Better chance going up against Moy and going up against Allen in that particular matchup we saw it last year and I think we’ll see it again this year if that happens but if that matchup doesn’t exist and maybe it’s the Sixers versus the Knicks and embid is playing

Maybe at that point in time I’ll want Isaiah hartenstein playing and starting it just depends on the matchups for me and I hope that’s the case for Tom thibo on the coaching staff for the New York Knicks because it should be based off of that if the Knicks can do that and Bas

Who they start at the center position based off of matchup then I think this Knicks team is going to go extremely far in the postseason but they’re going to need to do that and you have to ask yourself is Tom thibo going to be the

Coach to do that I don’t think he is I don’t think he will because I think when he has something set that he likes he’s going to continue to utilize it and continue to go to it Mitchell Robinson was the starting center for this Knicks team when we started the season not

Isaiah hartenstein once Mitchell Robinson is fully good and fully recovered that’s probably going to be the same thing going again but going back to Mitchell Robinson’s comment here I got to say again like I said at the top of the video I am absolutely shocked that a starting caliber Center in

Mitchell Robinson would make comments like this you’re a starting caliber Center why would you say you want to come off of the bench I can understand it to some degree because you want to showcase your bag a little bit more and showcase your offensive skills and maybe

You can do that if you’re not playing with the starters I understand that but but coming off of the bench may not change how Mitchell Robinson’s utilized because Tom thoto likes Mitchell Robinson playing a certain way and who’s to say he wouldn’t want him playing that

Exact same way coming off the bench with the reserves even though he’s not playing with the starters anymore it’s not going to be a guarantee that he’s going to be able to Showcase more of his game because he’s coming off the bench not when Tom thibo is your head coach so

He should think about that before he makes a statement like this because if he comes off the bench but he’s doing the same thing that he’s doing with the starters only now with the reserves he’s probably going to be a little bit more angry and upset so don’t be surprised if

You come back and you’re coming off of the bench and Isaiah hartenstein is the one that’s starting because at this point in time if you’re making comments like this publicly maybe Tom thibo might experiment and try that out however we also understand who Tom thibo is we know

The type of centers that he likes and the people that he likes to start and Mitchell Robinson was starting for this team when everybody was healthy once everybody’s healthy again I absolutely believe that Robinson will get that starting roll back and he will be the starting center whether he wants to or

Not I think he will be the starting center and hartenstein will come off the bench either way though whether you’re hating on that or you’re liking that or not just remember before the injury to Mitchell Robinson happened we all were talking about how the Knicks had the

Best centered duo in the league in terms of Defense with Mitchell Robinson and Isaiah hartenstein and I think we could return to having that again let’s remember that but as of right now again very shocking comments coming from Mitchell Robinson on social media did you guys find it shocking as well too

Let me know in the comments guys because honestly I would love to hear from you but that’s going to do it for this episode I hope you enjoyed it and if you did go ahead and smash that like button leave a comment below and of course guys please subscribe to the channel until

Next time Nick fans peace

The New York Knicks are still dealing with injuries, even though they have OG Anunoby recently returned, they are still waiting on Julius Randall and Mitchell Robinson to do the same. The Knicks have been without key players for several weeks now, but they still have found a way to win. But as the Knicks get healthy, one of the main questions that comes up, is how will the New York Knicks respond to these players coming back and how will the lineups and the rotations be affected? This question comes up specifically a lot for Mitchell Robinson, given the impact of Isaiah Hartenstein in his absence. Recently, Robinson took to social media and offered some comments about this topic and his return. Troy Mahabir breaks all of this down!

  1. Troy, now you sound like a clown. Mitch is a great offensive rebounder because he’s only by the rim because he has no offense unless it’s a dunk. A guy like Turner or Capella would do the same on the boards but they actually have some offensive skills.

  2. I think that's the right thing to do. Mitch will remind everyone and the FO who he is. Mitch wants to earn his time back and not just take it like some divas in the league. I respect Mitch more than ever.

  3. Mr. 6o here in Mitchell Robinson is gd on an watching 55 could you mimic knowledge of rebound and low post dunks . Getty square my brother Manhattan, Ny feeling the coming back to work of the throne take your legs serious. Mr Robinson ❤.

  4. I interpret his statement that he wants to come onto the court slowly to not aggravate anything or worse, reinjure himself.

  5. You are right! I don’t get it why he can’t do any offensive moves but IHart can? I know Thibs must trust IHart offensively than he does Mitch. It’s kind of weird. I won’t suggest that Mitch is offensively at the level of IHart but I think he can do something. Now, that IHart is making a strong impact I can understand Mitch wanting to come off the bench. Mitch won’t have a good rhythm for a little while when he comes back. It makes sense to keep the line up and not interrupt the chemistry. Eventually, Mitch will earn his extended time on the court but not to start out and not to start the game.

  6. I’m ok with that. I think he see the chemistry that’s build and doesn’t want to disrupt it. It’s fine. Let him come off the bench behind Isiah (pause) until he gets back in shape. All those 2 are doing is switching.

  7. I’m ok with that. I think he see the chemistry that’s build and doesn’t want to disrupt it. It’s fine. Let him come off the bench behind Isiah (pause) until he gets back in shape. All those 2 are doing is switching.

  8. If Robinson can put up the 15 footer and a solid 3. He would be a key offense piece. For now he is playing a good defense role.

  9. What this means is the Knicks won't have a issue when Mitch comes back it even makes the Knicks more dangerous when you look deeper into what he's saying boy this is huge for the Knicks and the coaching staff and also it show the growth of Mitch from childish comments to manning up.

  10. Mitchell has a handle & has a mid range shot also. The number 1 thing why Mitchell not upset either cause Harkenstein is his best friend. Their friends, double dates and all so he wants to show his bag offensively off the bench. Cause if he wanted to start, he would start

  11. He wants more shots and probably realize that he’d get more offensive touches. Hes always said that he wants to be more involved in the offense

  12. Mitchell is still thinks of himself as a comedian. He doesn’t get to make that decision. It’s a call for thibs to make. Pointless comment from him and meaningless conversation

  13. Absolute team player. After a surgery it is better to come back slowly. And hes right, he will be more effective specially against other teams second units. Once he has gotten up to speed, by the playoffs, he will start. This also holds true for Randle who is struggling to get back and will take time to adjust once he does.

  14. Yes Mitchell Robinson should come off the bench to save his career and the Knicks can have a major third back up center off the. Bench to win more games and the NBA championships but have a new talents for Mitchell Robinson as a scoring machine scoring also with three points scorer and hook shoots with enough he hand defenders blocking .

  15. Weak up Knicks management and coachers new plans for the New York Knicker every Knicks player must be a three points specialist and team player mind set

  16. Mitch doesn't want to let the debate of if he or hartenstein should start ruin their friendship he rather come off the bench before that happens, good friend, RNS

  17. IHart got chewed up and spit out last time he played against a busted up embiid. Dude is the closest thing to Shaq. He just don’t stay healthy( thankfully 😂)

  18. Mitch is definitely a team player and we are better on D with him there : starter of bencher. Pro tip: if you’re playing 24-30 minutes per game, it really doesn’t matter that much if you’re starting or coming off the bench. If we could keep both of these defensive experts, I would absolutely love it!! I Hart adds more on offense. While Mitch adds more on D. Mitch’s extra defense makes up for his lack of offense. We need IHart to for his offense inside the paint. The pair of them together is something the rest of the league will fear. Let’s go!!! 🟧🟦🟧🟦🟧🟦

  19. Intelligent team player takes nothing away from him matter of fact shows great character, come on back Mitch Knicks need you going towards this playoff war💪🏿

  20. People in the comments are tweaking… Mitch does NOT have an offensive bag-at all! It’s been 5 years, he’s shooting 40% at the line, what do you think he would shoot from 3?? He has bricks for hands and looks discombobulated when he attempts to do anything offensively… He’s great at what he does, let’s not fix what is not broken…

  21. I think you missed 2 very imprtant points. 1. Mitch and isiah are very good friends. He Didnt want to take away from what IH was doing. 2. Mitch FTs is a very big problem. Especially down the stretch. Mitch wants tobe more involved in offense but cant do anything but dunk.

  22. He should come out off the bench not as a starter wise decision coming from Mitch he is looking out for his best interest why all the drama 🤔

  23. He should always come off the beach is only a 7-footer that get rebounds you're not getting any points off of him and he doesn't make the team better can't shoot free throws can't shoot a jump shot he is better coming off the bench I'm a knick fan for 25 years let's be honest there's about 10 other centers I will take over him.

  24. Mitch doesn't want to play next to JR either. Everybody looks better when he's not on the floor, but no one is talking about that part.

  25. @mikeyrue

I enjoy watching Robinson do his thing on defense and he’s been improving on not picking up silly fouls. Offensively, he simply has no touch. I can’t see him converting the teardrop shots that iHart takes. I’ll put it a different way… to my eyes, the game has slowed down for him when he’s playing defense. I don’t think that’s the case when he’s on offense – certainly not when the ball is in his hands.

A healthy Robinson is impactful to this team, even with his limited offensive skill set.

Let’s get him in the court first and play some meaningful minutes.

If Thibs listens to himself, then “The game will tell you what to do” and he will utilize Robinson accordingly.

  26. Man bring everyone back 1 week before the playoffs like everyone else does, you know Embid, Porzingis, and the rest will be back! If healthy with Julius OG and Mitch no one can beat us including Boston, we're 13 and 2 with OG and Julius didn't play in many of those games and anyone who doesn't include JB in MVP is crazy 😮

  27. I don't know but I remember Miami fouling him on purpose last year and he missed 7 of 10 free throws and BAM Dominated him

  28. He may need to come off the bench when he returns in the beginning to get rhythm and not to disrupt what they have built in his absence. Just until he gained confidence with his health. He's not going to be able to hard when he returns. It's going to take time
