Would be great then the bench is stuck…either these 2 play all game, only one can, or they spread em out. JK defense is getting better though every game

Ideally, for TJD to play as 5 Klay needs to be reintegrated in the lineup. Our best 5 as of now are Steph,Klay,JK,Dray and TJD. Second Unit- CP3,Podz,Moses,Wiggs and GP2.

Would be nice to see more of that. Also gives Draymond less minutes at the 5.

I feel JK is the odd man out with that pairing. It’s unfortunate, because JK is our #2 option. Good news is, TJD has been GREAT.

The issue with the TJD-Dray pairing is it means one of Kuminga or Wiggins needs to come off the bench, and it would probably be Kuminga, otherwise the spacing is ASS, it would also involve breaking up the CP3/Klay-TJD combo unless we started Klay again

Just because it’s looking like a solid pairing doesn’t mean they have to start the game together. They’re getting minutes together in both halves right now, and that can continue. Maybe bump up the minutes they’re playing together, but the immediate reaction doesn’t have to be “let’s change the starting lineup…again!”

I’ve been on the TJD bus since very early in the year and have had extended arguments regarding him. The kid has so much damn potential on both ends of the floor. His basketball intelligence is superb, and he defends so doggedly whenever he gets on the floor.
He may not grow into a superstar, but the future sure is bright for Trayce.

Two person lineup data is always wonky to use without context, but it means there’s ways to play them together. It doesn’t solve the problem of non-draymond minutes, though, and like others have said that means no kuminga on the floor. Also, what’s up with this sub’s drive to replace the starting lineup again? It’s working great for us. The lineup data also says we need to go back to looney at 5 with three guards, and this is with a much bigger sample, btw.
Curry-cp3-klay-jk-loon: +38, 126 poss

When they are sharing the floor, Kuminga or Wiggins have to seat, so it’s impossible that they start together. They are a good pairing though for mid game, defense really goes up since one of those guys will be in helping positions, which are both pretty good at it.
