Tough loss especially where we are right now in in uh in our race for that playoff spot uh but you got to give the Wizards credit and uh their coaching staff a lot of credit they basically took it to us uh KZ KZ was a handful uh

We did not have answers for him tonight uh we tried to double team him um at times and uh he’s still find found a way to hit big shots uh so give him a lot of credit for for being really really efficient from the floor and scoring 31

Points in a in a low-scoring game I thought that uh uh we did not shoot the ball well tonight I also thought we turn down some uh open threes and if we’re open like we tell our guys we just got to let that thing fly and we had a lot

Of pretty we I thought we had a lot of good open looks that uh normally go in for us and uh they just didn’t tonight maybe it was because of the back to back or across the country back to back I don’t know uh but uh shots that normally fall for

Us uh didn’t go in tonight and uh especially the the the open ones that we uh that we were able to uh generate um but again defensively we we couldn’t contain the dribble Drive they scored 60 points in the paint without really a postup player all that stuff was just

Off the dribble drive and us not being able to contain it we were step slow in that area and then uh like I said uh CR was fantastic Mike you guys it’s not a new conversation obviously but you guys have had wins in Minnesota and Denver and

You’ve also lost at home to Detroit and and you lose to um the team with the worst record in the league tonight just what do you make of of your team’s sort of roller coaster inconsistencies that that you’ve been dealing with all season I we just have to figure out a way to

Stay consistent and a lot of that is um doing what we do staple wise and believing in it trusting it and like I said on nights like tonight uh when the ball’s not going in because again I thought we had some pretty good looks um

You know they got a guy that can go get it kman was 13 for 22 from the floor and he basically just went and won the game for him in a low-scoring game and you know we have to do a better job in that situation or we got to have somebody

That can step up and and hypothetically go get it for us you know and and uh um domas didn’t have a lot of attempts um they did a fantastic job every time he caught the ball they just collaps on him and you know he had six turnovers

Probably could have sprayed it a couple more times and and Foxy got it going in stretches but he’s 10 for 31 from the floor and so they did what they needed to do against our two top guys and and we didn’t do what we needed to do

Against kozma in a lowc scoring game when it comes to uh uh putting points on the board and you had that run at the end of the second quarter and then end of the third into the fourth um what was going well during during those stretches and and I would guess Kesler Edwards

Particularly in the second quarter had had a pretty sizable impact there too he was huge he he came in and and he helped you know one that we were going to stop CZ but he he slowed CZ down um and made CZ work a little bit harder for his

Shots uh we you know our starting group to start the game and to start the third quarter was not good um we we got uh put in a big hole at the start of the game uh cuz we weren’t ready to play and then

We got put in a hole again at the start of the third quarter because we weren’t ready to play and and trying to play catchup when a team has confidence and you know they lost whatever it is in a row is going to be hard cuz they’re

Playing free and loose and all that other stuff so if the ball goes in great if it doesn’t go in great now they see a couple go in and it’s a dog fight so um we didn’t have good starts start the game Andor into the third but what was

Working for us and the second is I think we had 10 or 11 consecutive stops and that helped us um chip away at that lead all right thank you yeah thank you started a second do you have any questions dur in pregame uh I know you all didn’t

Get the outcome you wanted but uh sorry that’s Wild start dear I know the team to get the outcome it was looking for tonight but pregame you were signing many autographs and there was a pair of twin brothers that had uh driven up 538 mies from uh

Kentucky to to be here what does it mean to have that type of support and interact with fans like that pretty I mean that’s always cool cuz he could have went to the tournament game but I guess we both lost uh no I mean the support that we have uh

From Kentucky fans you know is from the time you commit to I mean to the time you you pass away obviously we don’t want that to be soon but um I mean they just always give support no matter if you’re there for one year four years five years whatever it may be they

Always they always show you their their gratitude that you were able to just share some moments with them so um definitely we’re definitely grateful for that de what were your thoughts on the game itself and the loss and did you feel feel like for you that a lot of

Shots that normally go in didn’t go in early on for you yeah definitely I mean um obviously we only we gave up 109 points uh was not a terrible defensive game but uh we turned them over 20 times uh obviously we need we can’t give up

Them shooting you know almost 50 40 uh 50% from the field and almost 40% from three but um I think defensively we we gave ourselves chances to win and uh for me obviously you know I I have to be able to make some some of those you know easier shots

Um I mean other than that I mean 14 turnovers isn’t horrible um obviously we have to take take care of the ball a little better than that but we can’t get down 20 and then uh fight back and just expect to win because we fought back

Yeah what on on that note what do you think the issues were at the beginning of of each half obviously you guys played last night I think I think both were were getting stops I don’t think I think at the beginning of the game we weren’t getting stops and then um at

Some point I think in in the second quarter whenever we actually brought it back we got 10 stops in a row um and then we started off the half we weren’t getting stops and the lead went from 2 to 14 or 16 whatever it was um so that’s

I think that’s where where it lied we we weren’t getting stops you guys have obviously beaten a lot of really good teams particularly teams at top of the standings and you’ve had some some losses to to teams at the bottom of the standing so not a new conversation for

This team this year but just what do you make of sort of that roller coaster inconsistency nature of the Season you guys have had I mean we have to be better um I as basketball for for me like I I have to play better I have to make shots

But if I’m sitting here and tell you I have to make shots and I don’t feel like I just played a terrible basketball game um but those stretches where we were giving up six seven baskets in a row uh we have to be better than that did you

Sense um a different type of energy from from ran tonight going against his former team uh no I mean ran always plays like that he always plays hard um I’m glad I we didn’t give up the push shot so or the floater so but no I mean

That’s what he does he’s a professional even when he was here and he wasn’t getting the minutes that he wanted um he he stayed professional he kept working and then uh then he took the starting spot at at a time so um nothing that he does surprises you it seemed like there

Was there are moments you guys might have been frustrated with with officiating and and Malik said that might have um impacted you guys emotionally during some stretches just what can be done in those scenarios by by you guys to not let that impact the game I mean just play you have to be

Able to play through it um nothing really more about that I mean I shot 30 times 16 inside the three-point line and apparently I don’t get fouled so that is what it is anything else thanks everyone thanks
