Kansas Survives vs. Samford in Controversial Ending | 2024 March Madness

Nobody on him as he inbounds the ball into the hands of Rin Jones two possession game 50 seconds to [Applause] go Jones thought about a long three it’s going to be a CH a slam I guess I guess he’s he’s done with the cramps for now Germaine Marshall will play the inbound

Man who’s Fury got it in Dickinson that that’s not who they wanted right there and dickon got away with the elbow Adams wide open hand to Adams for the flush two possession gain less than 30 to go Scramble for the loose ball who’s got

It to tie up who’s the arrow go to sford immediate mid pick and roll with the sure let’s see how cvas is going to play it last time they tried to show him recover it didn’t work out well oh excellent re ball excent wow Campbell again it’s down to

One Ken has to be strong with the ball and then it’s going to come down are they going to be able to knock down their free throws 9089 Kansas gets the ball in ahead to Timberlake on the run a and he missed the shot did they call a foul he went

For the jam should have gone for the layup hit the deck hard I got to see the replay that was that clean I got to see the replay though that was clean that I don’t know if there was a foul right there that is all ball and that is an incredible play

Wow man with the game on the line that is an incredible block that just got taken away from sford Jean stator do you agree with us I do agree with you guys it’s a great block by sford right there a really great job with the inside hand getting

The top of all ball right there fellas at any rate it’s Timberlake to the free throw line that free throw ties this season High [Applause] Timberlake got them both clutch free throws and now they’re taking the big fill out they’re taking Dickenson out that tells me that that K is going to

Switch every pick and roll they don’t want any confusion they didn’t want any mishaps we’re going to switch every pick and roll Force sford inside the three-point [Applause] line you got to switch hard on this got to switch hard three-point game Adam comes out to get Jones that one’s going

Up and Off the Mark scrambled for the rebound that’s off aure and Jackson saved it off a chore with [Applause] 2.4 and sford sford coaching staff is calling for review it’s not going to matter that ball was clearly off ature well Marco Jackson’s done some freshman type things

Tonight maor jumping around on him pass comes in comes right back to Fury and he’s fouled with n to go and that should just about do it as furfield go to the free throw line Dean Harris boys good thing is shoes any bigger than they are he might have stepped out of

Bounds what a game what a come back what a season by SLE great action by both these teams great win for Kansas but man what a comeback by sord down 20 in the second half they have nothing to hang their heads about and they will be talking

About that not block shot for years to come as Kansas survives the sord bulog

No. 4 seed Kansas held off No. 13 Samford in the NCAA Tournament First Round after a late Bulldogs block attempt was called a foul in the final seconds.

  1. How’s this controversial? It was easily a clean block😂 Kansas fuckin lucked out on this one Gonzaga bouta beat they ass

  2. There isn't anything controversial about that, Samford got fucked.

And you know what caused this? Our recent infatuation with "player safety" … once that man fell, it just HAD to be someone else's fault and their had to be a foul called. Never mind the fact, white dude catapulted his own self.

  3. You cannot see that in real time i dont care how close you are….have to be able to review.

  4. The refs love the control over who wins the game. NCAA is the only one who can fix this and they've made it clear, they ain't gonna.

  5. Inexcusable. That zebra crew should be disqualified for the rest of the tourney.

I mean, they didn’t even brush jerseys.

If I’m Samford, I’m on the phone to the NCAA. Not that it will do any good against one of the blue bloods – they must be protected at all costs.

  6. What is the use of replay if you don't use it to get the call right? It only looked like a foul because dude went up too close to the rim, hung on it a bit and his momentum made it look like he got hit and dude didn't touch him. Wow!
What a shitty way to lose a game.

  7. NCAA has to let coaches challenge calls with reviews especially the last 2 minutes. This play is a foul 99% of the time. And with the circumstances you wouldn’t want to give up an easy bucket so almost obviously fouling situation. Plus backside viewing angle and with the block swiping across. Looked like a foul at real speed. Gotta be able to review plays like that.

  8. They spent all that time reviewing all those silly out of bounds plays but couldn't review the one call that determined the outcome of the game?

  9. Clean block but I think there are very few refs in the world that have the guts to no-call in that spot. A transition dunk where someone comes in from behind, especially when the offensive player hits the deck hard, is gonna get called almost every single time and refs usually aren't even good enough to get eyes on the point of contact with the ball. Not saying it's right, but just my opinion.

  10. If one bad call cost you the game then you didn’t do enough to win. There are bad calls throughout a game. To pinpoint the one that “cost the game” is delusional at best.

  11. I’m a huge college basketball fan, but I had no idea that fouls weren’t reviewable. I thought they were in the last two minutes, but they aren’t. It’s only out of bounds calls and to check the clock, etc. That needs to change, even if you only get 1-2 challenges and even if it’s only the last two minutes. This really makes me sick. Someone owes Samford an apology.
