[Charania] Pelicans’ Brandon Ingram has suffered a bone contusion in his left knee. Fortunate diagnosis for New Orleans and its star forward avoiding serious injury, but Ingram is expected to miss at least two weeks.

Damm 2 weeks can be a lot . Pelicans schedule is what heat pistons okc bucks Boston suns magic spurs suns blazers kings warriors lakers that is a tough schedule

  2. huge sigh of relief all around.

never wana see star level talent go down just weeks before the playoffs.

Within those two weeks the Pelicans will notably face the Thunder, Bucks, Celtics, and Suns

    It’ll definitely impact the standings

  4. Never thought I’d be happy for “2-week recheck” news

  5. confuddly

i feel like there’s been more bone bruises this season than other seasons

best case scenario here for what was a nasty looking injury

Happy for KINGRAM, the Slim Reefeer ! Pels deserve a good run with Zion and him healthy

I remember Giannis suffering a similar thing when his knee bent backwards.

That is honestly good news all things considered l, happy to hear it wasn’t anything too severe and that he will be all good for the playoffs

What actually is a bone contusion? I find the difference between European injury reports and American injury reports quite fascinating. You never hear the word contusion other than in American sports.

Is it like a really bad bruise?

Thank god its not ligament related. Pels fans deserve a fully healthy run at the play offs. Selfishly hope the Mavs can overtake them in the standings though

Missing few weeks is crucial specially 8-5 gang standing is tight

So happy BI is going to be able to return. HUGE opportunity has appeared now for Trey Murphy. A lot more shots will be coming his way and this stretch into the playoffs could have a massive effect on the trajectory of his career.

Bone bruises can be NASTY. Their timelines are often weird, and they can worsen if you try to rush it.

I remember a bone bruise cost Robert Covington nearly a full season (and had him feeling depressed and thinking of walking away from basketball because of how frustrating the recovery process was).

I’m happy it’s only two weeks. Not happy that he won’t be there against two games against the Suns.

  15. We got a brutal schedule. Play in tournament LFG! Get better BI. Time for Trey and Hawk to go nuclear

Happy for him and the Pels. Thought it was going to be far worse.

This is where the Pels’ incredible health is huge.

The best part of this is that people assume we’ll be much worse for these couple weeks and don’t realize that now Trey is moving into the starting lineup. Numbers suggest he plays his best next to Zion.

Prayers up for slim reefer, but we can certainly stay afloat without him until the playoffs (that’s when he’s absolutely needed)
