Christian should we wait for you to put on the Gonzaga Jersey no I’m not putting it back on not put it back on no I realiz they got you the the pullover as well yeah he thought the Jersey wouldn’t fit so he brought a sweatshirt with it

Too just in case Christian you’ve been on a tear since you know roughly around the allstar break was there a shift in mindset and approach or are things just fallen into place no there wasn’t a shift uh just playing basketball the right way you know showing up to work

Doing the same thing I’ve done every day you know since I’ve been here um just you know continue to stay hungry um keep working do what I do stick with my routine um and I knew that would happen um you I was confident in my ability um

But nothing’s changed um but I haven’t done anything yet either so I’m got to stay hungry keep working one pass that joker threw to you on the break it was the the no look pass where you’re running the lane and like acting like he’s throwing it to a

Three-point shooter just is that like it seems so simple for him sometimes but it’s just not like can you speak to like how simple he has made some of the passes that he makes yeah he does it every game um you know it’s hard to appreciate when you know somebody does

That you know passes like that and plays like this every game and uh you know the stat lines that he has every game so it’s hard to appreciate it every night but you know I just hope you know the fans and everybody that watches him you know really appreciates how good he is

And uh just his greatness that he shows up in you know every single night um you know he’s been really really good and um so I just hope the fan base you know appreciates and understand you know how difficult it is to do what he’s doing every single night showing up to work

Every single day um you know that’s why he’s so great what’s the most important thing about attacking the r just something that you’ve learned just going from college to Pro uh yeah I mean just being confident you know what you do and I think like you said Joker puts people in great spots

Jamal puts people in great spots uh you know those guys do they have they have a lot of attention every night um so you know when you’re attacking a lot of times you’re wide open um and just going up and finishing it um and they make it

Easy on you but like I said just being confident in what you work on every single day um and Jamal and yoke and all the other guys do a good job moving the ball and putting people in good spots on a serious note what have you seen from

Julian over the course of his rookie season navigating being in the rotation earlier in the season having to go to Grand Rapids at different points yeah I mean he’s just continued to work um and that’s what’s important um like you said he’s been in out rotation um but when

He’s been in he’s been really good um you know it’s tough to especially as a shooter um you know to come in in the stretches that he comes in you know sometimes but you know when he’s when he’s played whole games he’s had really good games I mean played really well

Tonight played really well in Atlanta early on in the season um I think one other one that stood out but um he just comes to work every day and understands that it’s part of it it’s part of your rookie year um um he’s been ready like

He was ready today um and he’ll continue to stay ready what feels different to you in your second year at this time of year compared to last year um different nothing’s nothing’s too different um to be honest we’re approaching you know trying to get the one seed the same way um understanding

The importance of every game and understanding the importance of you know how big the one seed was for us last year um so you know we’re still approaching each game the same way and that’s a good thing about this organization is you know we try to win

Every game you know we’re not out here uh you know guys aren’t sitting guys aren’t throwing games so uh you know we’re you know we’re going out here to win every game we’re playing the right way no matter who’s on the court and I think that’s the best part too um

Doesn’t matter who’s on the court you know every night we’re trying to play the same way try to play the right way uh you know move the ball everybody’s unselfish so um you know nothing has changed as far as approach um nothing has changed as far as trying to get the

One seed uh but I think the most important thing right now is just health and and we all know that and making sure everybody stays healthy and is healthy at the right time um and that you know that’s really important going to the playoffs too do you feel fresh do you

Feel I mean it’s was long year last year tough this year just feel good this I feel amazing yeah I feel I feel amazing uh you know I try to play you know come out and play every game um just did the same thing in college you know never

Missed a game in college and um you know that’s my Approach I want to play 82 every year um be available um you know as much as possible for my team um you know and I’ll always be that way um you know especially when you know those guys

Put me in good spots every night um so just try to come out um and play with energy every single night you know be available for the team um you know and the coaches every night you know that’s a goal of mine um but no I feel great

Was there anything in particular that the team is proud of just from game one to now just something that you guys have approved throughout the year uh I think we’re happy with what we’re at obviously we’re happy with the on SE uh everybody has things to improve on um everybody

Has you know health issues that you know they need to get right um you know going into the playoffs but I think we’re you know we’re happy with the spot that we’re in uh but we’re not we’re not content you know we know how close to thunder are we know how close these

Teams are behind us um so it’s important like I said to approach every game uh you know and try to get a win every game so um we’re not content but um you know we happy with the one seed there not you know much better than you can get than one you

Had this point in season 10 games left in the regular season for you guys how much scoreboard watching is like how much you know obviously you focused on what you’re doing but how much you keep up withc I mean you obviously watch it um you know everybody watches it you know

Like I said you want the one seat um you know so you kind of have to know you know where the where the people are following you um so we definitely watch it um but like you said the most important thing is just you know knowing how we approach every game you know

Approaching the game the right way you know respecting the game um and doing what we do like I said this organization has a u has done a really good job of building a winning culture and whoever’s on the floor we’re going to try to win every game so um doesn’t matter like I

Said health is more important um you know in our opinion but uh you know going out trying to win every game try to get that one seat is is also very important um so you know where people are at and we know we have a league but

We got to keep it does that technically count as you wearing the shirt what you’re doing right now no I I wore it enough I think I think I wore it enough today and uh I think they got enough pictures and videos of me uh with it on

What happens to it now well I mean I give it back this is actually his uh final 4 One I believe that he gave me so uh hopefully try to get get it back to Julian without a spill on it uh is is my goal now that’s the reason it’s not on

So and I got this other you know Gonzaga hoodie on just in case so all right than
